This was my second time visiting the very nice home in Alameda. My memory of the sunroom was just as nice as my prior visit. I was delighted with the updated furniture in the sunroom which was very comfortable and a nice way to enjoy the waterfront view. The house is as spotless as can be and any information I needed during my stay was in a binder easily identified (street cleaning schedule, internet, local restaurants and sites, etc). It is a nice neighbourhood with only one small complaint was the noise from one neighbour with loud music all day on a Sunday. I am sure there is nothing to be done from the owners side, it was just a small little blip in an otherwise perfect stay. Communication, cleanliness, comfort all were 100% perfect. Thank you for a very nice stay.

I've stayed in a lot of places that look good in pictures, but aren't so hot when you see them in person. This place lived up to every expectation and often exceeded them. The house, which appears to have been recently and completely remodeled, is beautiful and is furnished with everything you could possibly need while on vacation. The view from the sunroom is spectacular and ever-changing. The location was perfect: a quiet neighborhood with shopping/grocery nearby and only a few miles from the Oakland airport. I would definitely stay there again!

Lu's home was clean and has an amazing kitchen and modern amenities which made it very comfortable for four adults. Sipping coffee early morning in the sun room while watching the birds and ships come into Oakland Harbor was a very relaxing way to start our day. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood, yet easy access to nearly anywhere you want to go. For example, we took the ferry in to the city. The port was very close, (actually there are two to choose from), but we sailed from the main terminal. After a very full day in San Francisco, we ferried back home. The port is very close to some breweries and distilleries -- so of course we had a beer to toast a wonderful day of sightseeing!

Lu and Bob were wonderful hosts, and their home was gorgeous and comfortable. We were in town to visit family and entertained in the large kitchen for the five of us for dinner with all needed utensils and pots and pans. The home was very well built with quality fit and finish, top of the line appliances and we felt very at home here. Will definitely be back, and recommend to anyone visiting the Bay Area to stay here!
