This was the perfect size stay for my family, as my wife and I stayed close while we got eloped in Olympic, and had our family stay here.
Very convenient location, clean house, and fast communication with the owner. The views of the ocean were spectacular and we even had some deer visitors to hang out with us!
Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would love to come back!

This is our second time staying at the beautiful house in Port Angeles. Everything was in great shape. I would highly recommend.
10.0 / 10.0
The house has beautiful views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. It was so much fun to watch the ships, pilot boats and ferries from the large back yard.
The house is large and roomy and well appointed. Our granddaughter enjoyed the game room in the basement. It is convenient to activities, stores and restaurants. It’s a great place for a family vacation.

Beautiful home with amazing views, comfortable bedrooms and living space. We felt like we had our own private location because the property is very private and peaceful. Great place to spend time with family for our reunion. I could also visualize people having a beautiful wedding in the backyard. Staff was very friendly, easy to contact and available. If we come back to Port Angeles, I would definitely stay here again, and I would also recommend others to stay here also. Thanks for a great memory!

Wow! What an amazing week we had in this beautiful home!
My daughter graduates college this year so it was her final spring break. She brought along some friends & we all had the best time.
The house is gorgeous & rooms were very spacious. 4 rooms upstairs & it was hard to choose between the water view rooms or the views of the snow capped mountain range & were lucky one night with an incredible sunset!
Comfy beds, nice linens & spa towels.
The backyard is huge & has a great fire pit area (s’mores were enjoyed!)
The house is so close to town that walking to restaurants is easy & my daughter also enjoyed having the path behind the house so she could run everyday.
Nice to see the memorial area to 9-11 and a beam from the Twin Towers.
We had fun exploring the area. Hiking around Crescent Lake (Storm King (advanced) & Marymere falls). Hiked the 2 shorter trails at Hoh rain forest & a quick trip at the Tree of Life.
Did a self guided Twilight tour through Forks & La Push. Very cool!
Hurricane Ridge was closed but we were able to go half way & views were still great.
Enjoyed some amazing meals in Town but missed a few because they were closed. Next time will plan that better!
Spruce had the tastiest burgers & fried sauerkraut balls/ had to go twice!!
Togas soup shop, Turnip the Beet, Barhop Brewing & New day Eatery were all great!
The final day Kids took a day trip to Victoria BC while my husband & I went on a whale watching tour. Saw 3 gray whales to end my fabulous week.
The day we left my husband woke up to 3 deer grazing in the backyard & my daughter said it was her favorite spring break! Can’t ask for anything more.
Thank you!!!!

This is our family's 2nd time staying at this house. It is centrally located to walk to restaurants and parks. The house has all the amenities you could wish for. When we stayed during the summer, it was relaxing to barbecue with the Port right in the backyard. During Thanksgiving it is in a picturesque location with the town beautifully decorated. The house is colonial style and kept up beautifully. A great house to relax in at night by the fire, reading a book or watching a movie. Close by swimming pool, grocery stores, restaurants and the movie theater. This house is one of a kind and a cozy stay.

Just finished a week long family gathering at he Caroline house, Wow ! We had 3 couples and our mother for the week so the big 4 bedrooms were a must. The rooms are very large. In fact, the house is very large. We ended up using just about all of it. We cooked in every breakfast and dinner so the kitchen with lots of counter space and island came in handy as did the separate dinning room with huge table. The outdoor gas grill was also put to good use. Additionally there was outdoor table seating on a patio. At night we hung around the fire pit or played pool into the late hours (people in bed sleeping reported they couldn't hear us at all down in the basement rec. room ). The gas fire place in the Huge living room was much appreciated.
The house is in a perfect location , within a short walk to the Ferry pier and water front or
down town streets. However, you would never know it when you were at the house, located on a bluff overlooking the water on a quiet dead end street you have spectacular view of the inlet, harbor and all the big ship activity. Along the water way below the house is a paved walkway that goes for miles and miles in both directions. We even saw a " raft " of river otters playing one early morning. Sunrises over the water were incredible !
We had two cars parked in the driveway, however the parking area is so large we are still able to turn the cars so you didn't have to back out of the driveway.
Lastly - our contacts Jim and Tanya were super helpful. They quickly responded to my post booking questions and were accommodating to my requests.
Book the house - you will love it.

Two families (10 total) enjoyed staying in this home for 4 nights on our 2nd leg of our PNW trip. The house is very clean, one of the cleanest we have stayed in over the past 20 years we have been renting homes for vacation.
The beds were comfortable however 2 had to sleep on air mattresses and one on a couch since we have 4 boys who are all over 6’ tall and aren’t comfortable sharing a bed.
The view from the house is spectacular. We enjoyed sipping wine on the back lawn and watching the sunset. We enjoyed meals at Kokopelli (reservation needed), Chestnut Cottage and Frugal’s. The kitchen was spacious and we appreciated the crockpot as it made it easy to plan for dinner in while we hiked in the area. We enjoyed Hurricane Ridge and walking to the shops in town.
Overall, great trip. Thank you for allowing us to vacation in your home.

We give this home an absolute 10 star rating. We had such an amazing time in Port Angeles and this home was a large reason for that. It has luxurious amenities, fine details, large kitchen, great craftsmanship, large grass areas and trees, and an INCREDIBLE view. We saw wildlife straight from the kitchen window and it was extremely easy access to town.
The outdoor area was so fun to grill and look out on the gorgeous view. I especially loved the massive windows in two of the upstairs bedroom windows with a perfect landscape view of the water. And EVERY bedroom upstairs had a view of the water from their window.
The kids had a blast in the basement downstairs with all the games and amenities.
I can’t recommend this enough. Wonderful owner as well and extremely easy to work with and very clear communication.
Enjoy your time here!

PROS: views, access to water front walking path, large lawn, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, efficient/thoughtful check in (didn't mind the paper work as this is a large/carefully cared for home and I understand the need to ensure those who rent will be responsible), fun downstairs game room, quiet neighborhood.
CONS: VERY minor, but not enough towels, blowdryer/clothes dryer (to do a load of towels!) not working but I am sure will be repaired.
We will be back to this amazing home!

We enjoyed our 3-day weekend at the house. We had snow outside, and it was warm, fun and relaxing inside the house. The property managers' communications before and after the rental were excellent. We were met upon arrival with a walk through of the house and property - quick, efficient and informative. We loved the kitchen. It had everything we needed for all meals, though we ate at a few local restaurants all within a short drive. We ate dinners, and played board games, in the dining room. We loved the family room with plenty of comfy couches and big screen TV. We had fun playing foosball and shooting pool in the basement. Lots of board and card games down there to play, too. Upstairs are 4 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Three of four with views of the Straits, with the two backyard rooms with large windows for great views of passing ships. Bring your binoculars. We enjoyed our time in Port Angeles.

My wife and I took my father here for a birthday getaway. My father loves being near the water and this home was the perfect place. Great views, excellent kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, huge yard w/a fire pit and a gorgeous home. We had such a good time. My father said it was one of his best trips ever.

We needed to rent the home for our construction staff who was working in the area. I dealt directly with the owner who was able to accommodate getting our crew in early and extending our stay! The correspondence was easy, and very prompt! ~Terri
Superintendent's Perspective - The house was a wonderful place to stay and very nice to be so close to work and downtown. It has a beautiful view of the water and is located in a nice, quite neighborhood. The large backyard was a fun place to have BBQ's and play yard games after work. If the weather was bad the downstairs game room with a pool & foosball table was another great way to relax. The large kitchen & dining room helped out tremendously since we had five guys usually cooking different things for dinner. Both of the larger bedrooms upstairs also had a great view of the water and you could usually see a family of deer every morning sitting out on the back lawn. I enjoyed the house greatly and would consider renting it again for my family in the future. ~Jeff

We enjoyed this home so much! Unbeatable location with an ocean view on one side, and snow-capped mountains on the other. It's a huge property, quiet cul-de sac, with grassy lawns and mature trees. We would love to come again in summer and enjoy the firepit on the bluff overlooking Puget Sound.
On the first floor, the kitchen is big and well-stocked with good pots and pans, sharp knives, good coffeemaker and everything we needed. The views from the living room are incredible, plenty of cushy sofas for a big group, nice new TV and working fireplace that's easy to switch on. Dining room is huge, plenty of room for everybody.
Upstairs the beds are super comfortable, linens, pillows and towels all top notch. The bathroom is charming. On the basement level, there's a pool table, foosball, and a bar - the kids had a great time.
Super close to great hikes at Marymere Falls, Crescent Lake, and Salt Creek. And we had great meals in town at Smuggler's and Next Door Gastropub.
Loved this trip and this house, highly recommended!

This was an absolutely wonderful home in every way. While trying to find a local spot to host a large baby shower in Port Angeles, I found that it was not only more cost effective, but also a more beautiful location than anything else available. It was the PERFECT location! Each person that attended the shower commented on the location and how beautiful it is! My entire family came to town and we all stayed comfortably in the home, together, rather than in hotels and separate. The home is very large, but has a very warm and welcoming ambiance that invites you in, and makes you feel at home. Each room is beautifully decorated with a combination of traditional and modern decor that we all enjoyed so much. When it was chilly at night, we were able to light the fire and gather around with tea and enjoy the way that it created such a cozy space. There were deer in the yard each morning, and breathtaking views of both the Strait of Juan De Fuca, and Hurricane Ridge, a part of the Olympic Mountain Range. You literally can not get a more picturesque home. We also felt that the interaction with the home owner was so pleasant, that he truly wanted us to enjoy the home and our time in it. It has everything that you could ever want, we hope to be back, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking. Absolutely beautiful.

We had a great time at this home! It was very clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Olympic National Park. The raccoons were entertaining coming up from the hill every night. Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Stayed for a week in June 2019 with two families. Beautiful older home with modern kitchen and fantastic view of the strait. Owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful, including his prompt resolution of minor unavoidable maintenance issue. Great base for exploration of Olympic National Park. House is at the end of a secluded side road providing privacy but also very close to shopping and restaurants (we would recommend Kokopelli Grill and Nextdoor Gastropub).
The house's details, amenities, large kitchen, and huge backyard overlooking the water are well worth the rental price. If you have kids, there is a game room with a pool table, foozball table, and large screen TV in the basement. Had deer in the backyard twice and tons of ocean birds, including eagles on the property. Can sleep 8 comfortably.

This upgraded house is on the strait of Juan De Fuca and the views from the backyard are breathtaking. From each bedroom you have either a spectacular view of Hurricane Ridge or the Juan De Fuca strait. This house was perfect for a large family and had plenty of space and room. Each room had unique furniture and it gave the house special character. The game room was perfect for the kids to take a break in after a day of exploring. I would recommend this house for anyone visiting the area.

This house sits on an amazing lot with unbeatable straight of Juan De Fuca views in the backyard and spectacular Olympic Mountain views in the front. The inside does not disappoint in the least. The entire house has been upgraded with modern appliances in the kitchen and all of the furniture seems brand new! Got the best nights sleep I have had in a long time.
My group was simply in town for some mountaineering but this place would honestly be a great wedding venue as well. Just looking at the backyard you could comfortably get a few hundred people seated comfortably. This was a great property and we will most definitely be back!!!! Well earned 5 stars!!!
