Everything about the house and the property was amazing, truly a unique experience. Beautiful piece of property with lots of amenities. Well-equipped kitchen, lots of room for relaxing and eating. We enjoyed our visit immensely.
Just be sure you understand that only registered guests (up to 10) can be on the property, and no one else. We ended up having to rent 2 additional casitas on the property in order to have our entire family together. I had overlooked that restriction when booking, however, the owner was extremely helpful and did everything possible to accommodate our entire family, which was very much appreciated.

Group of six old guys who grew up together in high school in LV, and now get together every year for golf trips (Pebble Beach, Torrey Pines, Tahoe, etc.). Needed a large house with 5-6 bedrooms, and 6 large beds, at least 4 bathrooms, in a nice area, and not kill the budget (like Pebble Beach). Not many houses meet these requirements. Most houses with 5-6 bedrooms have some twin beds. We are not sleeping on twin beds or daybeds.
This place met all those requirements and more. From the high end furnishings, to all the space, we couldn't have been more happy. We decided before our last trip that we weren't staying at hotels anymore, instead going with large houses, and it's been awesome. It costs about the same as 6 cheap hotel rooms, but we find that we end up spending way more time together, plus we go to Costco and buy our food and drinks there so we eat breakfast and most of our dinners at the house, saving us a ton. From now on, this is the only way we're doing it.
If you have a large group and want to stay in a beautiful house, in a quiet area, then the Horse Thief Ranch is the way to go.
If we decide to come back to Tucson we'll stay there again!

We had a very nice stay at the ranch main house. We had a total of 8 people from two families. There were plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms so the teens could have their own rooms. The master suite was exceptional. There were many luxuries throughout the home, including massage chairs and hot tubs. The property manager was easy to contact and often present on the grounds to answer questions. The house was very clean. We loved the shared space in the yard with many places to sit and relax to soak up the winter sun. The close access to the walking trail was a bonus! The tortoise was a big hit with the kids! We enjoyed watching her eat after the property manager fed her. We are grateful to the owners for opening up their living space and allowing us to have a great place to stay during our visit with the grandparents.
