If you are looking for a lovely, fully-equipped place on a beach and do not want or need any other hotel services (and have a car), this is a great choice. The unit itself is beautiful and well-kept. There are chairs down on the beach, a full kitchen (no dishwasher), and comfortable sleeping quarters. The view is also great.
It is part of an all-inclusive hotel, but the hotel itself is odd- it looks to be renovating (?), recently gone through a change in ownership or business model- or perhaps taking along time to recover from hurricane damage... there are parts that have clearly been updated and other places that a super run-down. Their photos online obviously showcase the best. And, if you do not purchase an all-inclusive package, the staff don't really care much for you. We've stayed at hotels that have ala carts and all-inclusive packages and felt welcome as ala cart guests- Here, we felt like we were second-class citizens any time we wanted to do anything at the hotel (yes and PAY for it)- and the staff gave you a hard sell to buy all-inclusive days.
The pool is nice. It's not quiet and not much shade. Kid-friendly. Bring your own drinks or purchase a $20/day wristband- we still had to try mightily to get staff attention. The waterpark is like an American 80's or 90's playground... it was probably fine for us, but by today's standards, it would be a health and safety risk. Everything there works, but you can see the leaks and the rust, the lack of secure footing on the steps (Whoa it's SLIPPERY and I saw lots of kids fall), the lack of anything but a single lifeguard. My 10 year-old had fun there on half-price day (M and W are half-prince ONLINE only), but if we would have paid more for it, it would have been a rip-off, and there are MUCH nicer waterparks in many other hotels. The snacks there are Sams Club hotdogs and hamburgers.
We also had a rental car (free parking!!), but if you don't have a car, it's not a convenient location to walk to much. There's a cool restaurant that was very good withing walking distance on the beach, but your options are slim unless you want to walk a half mile or more, often on the street. Overall, it was a great home base for us to do some activities closer to Costa Mujeres and explore the city of Cancun. Visit Mercado 23 if you want an authentic market experience with less toursity vibes. We also visited Ki-Huic market, but I think Tuesday is a slow day for market stalls, as many were closed.

Clean condo, good rooms, everything we needed. Had a balcony with ocean front view that was the best part when we woke up. Kitchen had everything. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was location. If you want to stay in the All Ritmo hotel is good but is far away from the Hotel Zone and the restaurants
