Arrive at your peaceful lake getaway in this historic cabin! The love for this 5-generation cabin is evident through its well-maintained structure and property. Numerous large windows allow natural light to illuminate the rustic decor found throughout the 1,250-square-foot interior while also providing guests with incredible views of Pelican Lake.
You'll feel right at home in the light and airy living room. Enjoy cooking on the novel fold-out stove in the fully equipped kitchen, the same stove in Elvis Presley's own Graceland kitchen. Essential cooking appliances and plenty of counter space allow you to effortlessly create family feasts while on vacation. Savor breakfast and dinner at the 4-person dining table as you absorb the light from the lake outside.
Entertain yourselves in the family room watching shows on the flat-screen TV. Afterwards, step outside to watch the sunset over the lake as you sip a glass of wine al fresco and friends play croquet in the yard. Cook up mouth-watering barbecue on the charcoal grill and keep an eye out for nesting bald eagles!
Once the day has ended, saunter off to sleep in one of the 3 cozy bedrooms where you'll sleep soundly on queen and full-sized beds. The interior room divider in the Marcia and Sassy room allows guests to create a spacious large bedroom or 2 separate, private rooms. For additional sleeping, guests can retreat to the living room sleeper sofa.

Deep in the woods, follow sandy trails to hunt for wild raspberries and the state flower, the Minnesota lady slipper. Along the private beach, search for the one in a hundred pebbles that is a semi-precious agate deposited each year by the winter ice. You can catch minnows with a net off the private dock, build sand castles, and bird watch for eagles and woodpeckers. The historic Grand View Lodge is down the road, offering 19th-century elegance in family resort vacations.
Spend long summer days recreating on your private beach area. Sunbathe, swim, and paddleboard on calm days. Walk only a mile down the road to access the lovely public sand beach. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for the holiday weekend. The main reason we picked this place was because of the dock. Which was very nice. Will definitely be back again.
FYI. If you are bringing a boat make sure to launch it first as it is a very narrow road and turning boat around in driveway would be difficult.

This was a great little cabin. The cabin isn't really anything special, nor should it be because the lake it absolutely amazing. There is a reason why 2 bedroom cabins on this lake are selling for $1m. It is a sand bottom lake that is great for swimming in. We have 4 kids and they all hopped in the water right away. There are plenty of fun outdoor games within the cabin, which made it a blast.
We had amazing weather and northern lights and so it was quite the magical experience. I think that if it had rained, it would have been tough to be in the cabin for a long period of time. I am sure we would have found something to occupy our time, but the lake and being outside is the magic of this place.
Also, if you get time, read about the history of the family who owns it. It is fascinating how long this cabin has been in their family! Thanks Sears family!

Thank you so much for renting out your cabin! We enjoyed a lot and had a great week away! The place was clean and welcoming, especially walking in through the front door and being greeted with the window overlooking Pelican Lake!
The fire pit was a nice little extra to cap off the day!
We woke love to come again to your cabin if we are up in the Brainerd area again

This cabin was amazing! Our 4 boys (12, 8 & twins 6) can't wait to go back! The water was clear and shallow for a LONG distance. They had so much fun! It was so nice to hear the slights waves at night. It felt like you were on a destination beach! The outdoor shower was a bonus and extra fun for the boys. Each room has a waterfront view from inside of the cabin. Next time, we would definitely bring water shoes for the boys.
