We had the perfect weekend getaway at ElkStone Lodge. The house was immaculate and stunning. I loved being cozy by the fireplace. The hot tub was relaxing for us to use as well. We enjoyed the food at Benezette Hotel which was just 3 minutes from the cabin. Everything is provided in this cabin from napkins / paper towels & spices to towels and blankets and a hair dryer! Washer and dryer were available to use as well with laundry soap and dryer sheets being provided. Will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The kids loved the hot tub and making s'mores over the fire pit. Located very close to the Elk Country Visitor Center. We highly recommend stopping there (they have a 4D theater with an educational film and snow falls down at one point while you're watching). There are great displays of flowers and animals there as well. Appropriate for all ages. There are other outlook areas close by the cabin to look for elk. I recommend bringing binoculars. We also enjoyed coffee, donuts, and ice cream at Elk Life, a cute store in town. Punxsutawney is an hour away, and worth a visit to see Phil and explore the town. Be sure to stop at Gobbler's Knob and the Weather Museum.

Amazing cabin with attention to detail. Nice gas burning fireplace for cozy evenings. The hot tub was clean and so nice after a day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

This cabin is beautiful! We had the best weekend getaway, our kids did not want to leave. The cabin is located in a great, quiet, location and super clean. It has everything that you could possibly need, it even has a toy box for this kids which was so nice. We will definitely rent this cabin again.

This place is very nice. It is also our second stay here. It has everything and then some of what a person might need or want. Hot tub, fire ring. We couldn’t of ask for a nicer place to stay. This house is located between Winslow hill and the elk museum and viewing area. We sit out on deck at night and listen to elk bugle . We drink our coffee in morning and listen to the elk bugle. The only thing I can say I would change would be that it only had one bathroom. But we made due. It truely is a awesome place.

Everything about this cabin is perfect! It was extremely clean and had all the conveniences of home. We really appreciated simple things (paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, garbage bags, laundry detergent, etc.) being provided. The neighbors were very friendly, and the neighborhood was peaceful and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

CLEAN cabin and was perfect for our family. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers, and we couldn't have picked a better cabin to rent! The kids enjoyed all of the toys, books, etc. that was at the cabin, definitely helped keep them entertained. Furniture was comfortable. We got to see two big mature bull elk in the yard of the cabin. One bull elk hung around the camp community for an entire day and was around the next morning. We didn't even need to leave to see elk; great experience. Also, the grill was clean and very convenient to have. Overall, 10/10 stay!!

We visited St Marys several wine tasting and a distillery. Enjoyed our stay and planning another trip!!

Five adults for weekend getaway. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, VERY clean- and we are particular. Plenty of towels, paper products, toiletries. Sufficient kitchen supplies. We had everything we could need. Quiet, convenient location. Hot tub and fire pit was a bonus. Only recommendation would be to add stone around fire pit, we stayed during a muddy time. Would definitely stay again!!!

This is the place to stay in Elk County! Close to everything you want to see (especially the Elk). We had deer in our yard during our stay. The cabin is probably the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. The hot tub was awesome after hiking. Be sure to bring food (as we did) because there isn't much around. This was an amazingly relaxing vacation. The owners are super responsive if you reach out to them. They provide most everything you need to have a great stay. We would love to return!

Accommodations were excellent only issue is we had terrible weather and the TV options left us with few options. We do not use streaming sites and the antenna options did not work well. Another option should be considered.

The hot tub was excellent and service was quick and friendly. We were able to use it the morning of our departure after calling for maintenance. We used the fire pit with family, grilled, played games and went out looking for elk. Not disappointed. We saw the elk bulls Bugle and herd of 30 elk at viewing areas. Recommend good camera for zooming. We had a elk cow cross in front of the cabin around 7:15 A.M. Well stocked with kitchen gadgets and cooking items. Easy instructions for checkout! Thank you for great weekend!

My husband and I staying in this cabin for two nights. It is a beautiful cabin and very clean. Our friends were staying close by and showed us where to find the Elk and other attractions in the area. We had a wonderful time! However, on the day of our arrival, we received an email from the owner indicating the hot tub was not functioning property and would not be fixed in time for our stay. We paid a lot of money to stay in this cabin and they advertised a hot tub on the deck and other amenities. After checking in, we read the sign-in guest book and it appears to be an on going issue. Other guests mentioned the hot tub was not working or the hot tub water was dirty. It is a very nice property but my suggestion to the owner is to state on the website that the hot tub may not be functioning or to remove this amenity from the website. It is very disappointing to expect this amenity and not have it be available especially when you are paying a premium price. We had hoped for an early check in but they were unable to accommodate this request. Customer service and satisfaction is so important these days.

This property was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of dishes, table serving, towels, extra pillows and blankets. They even had some spices and odds and ends in the cupboards. Nice fire pit with wood supplied for us. The location was very nice, close to the elk visitors center. We saw lots of Elk over the weekend. Its very cool to watch them and here them bugle. My only disappointment was the hot tub did not work. This was a big selling point for me when I rented the cabin. We did call the owner and he did send out a service man but he was unable to fix it. I feel that paying over $500 per night and not having the hottub work was very disappointing. It does state in the contract that No refunds or discounts will be given if the hottub does not work. Guess that should have been a red flag. Other then the hot tub I would recommend this property.

This cabin/house was perfect for 2 families to explore the area or just chill out at the house. It was impeccably clean and maintained. The backyard had a firepit for s’mores. The attached deck has a picnic table, hot tub and Adirondack chairs for relaxing and watching the wildlife. The house is completed equipped with everything you need which makes packing very easy. It is exactly as pictured. From the deck, in our yard we saw elk, a bear & deer. The visitors center and an awesome little coffee/ice cream/boba tea place are a few mins away. Cherry Spring Park is a little over an hour if you’re a star gazer. The cabin wifi is great but there is little connectivity as you approach the area for GPS which will tell you to turn at a road that is closed to get to the cabin. Turn instead at Bear and then onto Buck.

This cabin was beautiful!!!! The owners put a lot into making their cabin eco friendly. It’s well kept and clean. You feel right at home the minute you walk in!! Everything was just perfect inside and out. My only surprise is that I thought it was more secluded, not knowing that it was in a camp neighborhood. But that wouldn’t stop me from coming back at all, I would love to visit again!!!!! Great for a family get away or romantic weekend.

I was impressed with how clean the cabin was, how new everything looked. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'd need to make your meals, even extras like salt/pepper. The towels and linens smelled nice and clean. We were searching for a cabin with a hot tub and got lucky when we found this one. We had 5 adults and the cabin is roomy enough that it didn't seem like we were on top of each other either. I'll definitely stay here again!!

We loved every moment and made a lot of memories of our stayed at elk stone lodge. We enjoyed the desk ,hot tub , and the back yard fire pit area. We saw some elk around the cabin. I suggest that you bring your groceries , because the closet store is small and don't have a lot of things. Th e Walmart is out in ST.Mary and that away out. This the second time we stay at elk stone lodge and looking forward to the next time. We appreciated having WIFI.

We loved every moment of our stay at the Elk Stone Lodge. The cabin is clean and has everything you could need. I would suggest stopping on the way for groceries or bringing them from home as the only â€œmarketâ€ in the area is VERY small and limited in their selection. The property exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the large porch, hot tub, and fire pit! We did not see any elk on the property during our stay but had the opportunity to watch them play along the side of the road less than a mile away. AMAZING!

Perfect little cabin for a stay in Benezette! It was exceptionally clean and had just about anything you would need. We used the grill twice and it was well maintained and started easily. Great location too! While we didn't see any Elk outside our windows, we did see plenty elsewhere as we always do when visiting. There was nothing major that I would change about the facilities and I would certainly stay here again! Contrary to many other reviews, we had very little sulfur smell from the water - although the toilet water always looked yellow. . . A few incredibly minor things I would suggest would be a coffee pot that you can pour before its finished (we get impatient!) and a sharper knife set. If you plan to have steak, or any meal that requires a good knife, I'd recommend bringing your own. There is a small knife set there that will get the job done, but could easily be upgraded. As expected, we did not have cell service (AT&T) but the Wifi at the cabin worked great!

Loved the cabin. All the comforts of home. Except no TV. But thatâ€™s what getting away from it all is about. We did apriciate the WIFI. Close to most of the local attractions. We ride SxS so close to all the township roads. The sulpher smell from the water didnâ€™t bother us. But, we are from a small country town so we are used to it. Just use bottled water for drinking. We are planning another trip in 2019 hope to be able to book the same place.

Stayed at Elk Stone Lodge in July - what a beautiful cabin! It certainly had all the amenities of home! The only thing wrong with our stay was that we couldn't stay longer! We certainly hope to return for a longer stay next time.

No roughing it here! This lovely cabin is very clean and well-equipped for any type of getaway. Close to all of the elk action in Benezette and to many hiking trails too. The three days we stayed were uncharacteristically warm for October so we did appreciate the air conditioning on one of those days. We had elk in the yard every evening and many more going through the development. What a wonderful trip!

My entire family is still relishing the amazing time and spectacular accommodations Tim's beautiful home afforded us. Circumstances were challenging for us but Tim opened his home without question and gave us a trio that will be a forever memory. The home is immaculate, absolutely immaculate. The perfect accommodations for a group...private, well sized bedrooms, yet a great open common area to enjoy Elk viewing, meals, etc. This is Benezettes best kept secret and the finest accommodations you can imagine.

After opening the door and walking in, we were pleasantly surprised on how SPOTLESS this cabin was. The floors to the cabin were beautiful! The whole cabin was breath taking!! The cabin was fully stocked with all amenities . Highly recommend you stay at this peaceful cabin. We had elk walk in the front and side yard... no need to go look for elk, they come to you! The location of the cabin was great ,it was centrally located to everything !We will definitely come back again to stay at this cabin !

Cabin was so beautiful it felt like home. It was our first time in Benezette and it won't be the last time. The first night we were there we had elk all surrounding the cabin and they were bugling it was awesome. We had fun setting out back by the fire pit listen to the elk bugling and coming up close to the cabin. Everything about our vacation was awesome and it made my brother-in-law happy this was on his bucket list, and he not in the best of health . So i was glad to make this trip happen for him . Thanks for a beautiful time.

A wonderful vacation location. Very clean, beautiful cabin situated close to all the wonderful attractions. We were fortunate enough to see a large bull Elk, and his cows roaming the front yard this morning. It is cozy and offers all the amenities needed to enjoy a wonderful family vacation.
