All of the local shops, restaurants, and attractions are within walking distance, making it easy to explore the town on foot. **Pool Heat is an additional option that must be requested and paid for prior to stay. Rates vary based on fuel costs at time of stay. Typically between 125-150 per day. 24-48 hours notice needed for pool heat.
Golf Carts are provided with booking when available. Golf carts require any driver to have a valid driver's license. Minors without a driver's license are prohibited from driving the carts. Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited from driving the carts. Guests accept full responsibility for liability and damages to the cart during their stay. Keys will be provided to guests only after requirements are met.
Pool will be serviced daily in accordance with NC state health department requirements. Access must be provided to technician. Pool heating fees will be passed on to the guest if heat is requested during your stay. Please contact host of fee inquiries. Costs to heat pool will vary based on fuel prices.
Coolbnbs, the property owner, and approved contractors or service providers may access the property during a guest stay when needed for maintenance, repairs, inspections, appraisals, pest treatments, pool or hot tub service, lawn care, or other standard professional appointments related to the care, safety, or operation of the property.
Guests will be notified in advance whenever reasonably possible, except in the case of an emergency or urgent property-related matter. My family & I stayed @ Beach House West over Spring Break. I was very concerned about finding a place that would meet all of our needs…oceanfront, pet friendly, heated pool, enough beds with the right configuration for our family, and be affordable. This house was everything that was advertised! Upon check-in we found the house very clean. The ocean view is completely unobstructed. The pool is gated & just down the steps. (We paid a reasonable extra fee to have it heated). The ocean is just down the private walkway and mid-way there is a deck w/rocking chairs! After a day of beach & pool, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals for the family. Just as important, the beds were extremely comfortable. The host was very responsive during the rental process as well as during our stay. We noticed there was not a golf cart at the property. When we asked about it we were told it was being serviced & would not be available during our stay. We expressed our disappointment and by 5:00 that afternoon the host had rented and delivered a golf cart for our use throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property. It is definitely “as advertised”, and the host goes “above and beyond” to ensure you feel at home and your expectation are exceeded.

We very much enjoyed this home and all the amenities! And loved that we could take our puppy too! We’ve been vacationing in OIB for 40 years and this home is one of the best that we’ve rented. The location on the island is ideal, close to the center of the island but yet still quiet. Had great experience with communications with the host. My only complaint (and it’s not exclusive to this home) is the cleanliness! It’s awful! Nobody checks on the quality of their work.
