The Mountain Top Escape w/Scenic Views & Trails

Perfect location for a relaxing family stay just outside of Anchorage. A trek up the hill to find it, but nicely outside of the bustle and noise. Close access to Chugach hiking areas. . All the basics for simple cooking. Convenient laundry. Bathroom and bedrooms are simple, comfortable, and tidy. Blackout curtains helped us get a good night's sleep even with the midnight sun. Easy to connect to Wi-Fi with limited cell coverage in the area. Great view of the water and overlooking the city from the living room and deck. Kids loved watching boats and planes from the deck!

Not a negative, but note that the rental is an above-garage apartment accessed by a flight of stairs. Homeowners are present in the main house. This didn't impact our stay, but it wasn't clear in the listing.

The location was amazing and the views incredible! We loved the way the property is presented and cooked a couple of meals/breakfasts there. The beds were very comfortable and the lounge was great to relax in the evening while still having a great view over the city, sea and mountains. We saw Denali from the deck as the weather cleared which was amazing. As long as you have your own transport, Mountain Top is highly recommended for peace, quiet, comfort and views with a homely feel.
