Bear Valley Cabin

The cabin was cozy and clean, and plenty large enough for my husband and I. It felt like home as soon as we walked in. The bed was comfortable. It was a perfect spot to do things in Anchorage and the surrounding mountain hiking. We drove down to the Kenai River area twice. The hosts were very nice and their dog visited us a few times. We were able to see black bears from our cabin window. Our stay at the cabin was the best part of our Alaskan trip.

The cabin was delightful and we were very pleased with how well the owners provided everything you could possibly need. There was plenty of space to put luggage out of the way and to hang up coats and put boots next to the door.The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The only negative was that there was no place on one side of the bed to put a water glass, pills, book or anything of that nature. We emptied the tiny bookcase that was next to the couch in the living room and put it side wise to make a nightstand on that side of the bed. For anyone that is quite large it should be known that there is very little room on that side and foot of the bed to maneuver. We were a little disappointed in the surroundings of the cabin. It really wasn't an area to make you want to be outside. The weather was such that we were happy to be inside and warm but if it had been beautiful weather, it would have been disappointing to not enjoy being in the out of doors. The location was on the far outskirts of Anchorage, which made it very quiet but it was also quite a distance to go out to dinner at places other than fast foods and chains.

Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We loved our stay at this cozy cabin. It was very peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. There was a nice laundry room. We were able to hike and also drive to 2 marine cruises. It was a short drive to downtown Anchorage. We were able to park our small camper next to the cabin. It was wonderful!

a really cute little cottage with all the ammenities you’d need for a stay including a laundry with washing powder and a washing basket, kitchen cupboards stocked with snacks, bowls and cutlery, and even streaming networks on the tv and multiple spare towels and blankets! only thing i would change would be to have a tv in the bedroom or the lounge facing the tv
