The cleaner was very friendly and helpful offered us umbrellas when it rained , owner was very helpful when needed

Everything we needed. Very clean. Reasonably central to town,restaurants & shops. Having a hire car helps & there is plenty of free parking. For those with heavy cases,there is a lift !!
One downside tho. Not enough hangers,we bought some & left them. The large cupboard needs handles to help open them. Drying cloth’s ( t towels) required. Larger coffee cups. These are minor things,but maybe useful. Not so much a complaint,more an observation. The lady who cleans etc is very sweet.

Καλό θα ήταν να είχαμε και σφουγγαρακια για να πλύνουμε τα πιάτα … για 2 νύχτες ήταν οκ τα μαχαιροπήρουνα που είχαμε αν μέναμε άλλο ένα βράδυ θα έπρεπε κάπως να μπορούμε να πλύνουμε τα πιάτα

It is very clean, the bed (mattress) was very comfortable, there is a proper wardrobe and it's close to the sea. Easy to access the room.
We were really disappointed with this apartment because the photos on Booking.com are very deceptive. In fact you don't see that these apartments are only half of a building: the rest is a building site which is attached to this one. So, for the whole of our stay we were subjected to hammering, banging and the noise of the rest of the block being built. It started around 8.30am and the builders were even there on Saturday morning, so not much chance of a lie in. Orea Travel should have informed us of this before we arrived which is very deceitful.
The photos of the apartments are also deceptive because the ' Sea View' apartments overlook the back of a big supermarket and its congested car-park open air car park. Our stay was in October when Rethymno was less congested, so I can't imagine how noisy this must be in summer.
Beyond this ugly supermarket and car park you can just about see the sea.
As for the swimming pool, the photos on Booking.com are also deceptive. Again behind it you have the sprawling car park and it looks most uninviting and miserable, excluding the rotten banana at the bottom of it!
Minor issues were that the wash basin in the bathroom didn't drain away properly, the TV didn't work, the wardrobe didn't open unless you are over 6' tall(!) and there was no one on site to welcome us or to speak to about these issues. It was totally impersonal.
Rethymno is lovely and we have stayed there several times, but I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone.
