We enjoyed the stay because of the host’s friendliness and the very pleasant house.

Beautiful house and garden.

The shared bathroom and separate shared toilet can be a nuisance, especially when all rooms are occupied. There is also a friendly dog in the house, which could be a problem for some..

Excellent stay

It’s a really stylish, peaceful property. The hostess is wonderful and nothing is a problem for her. We stayed for a week, our beds were made twice and the room cleaned. Isabel was really thoughtful and replenished our room with fresh towels, bottled water and Belgian chocolates. We were offered a hot drink upon checking in with biscuits which were gratefully accepted. We also got to know all the other guests during our stay there and it was lovely to socialise in person rather then with the use of a phone!

There was nothing we disliked about the property. Some useful things to know is: Isabel has a lovely dog called Max. He is extremely well behaved and very well trained. There is also a gate at the top of the stairs which helps if you have young children. There are lots of plugs in the Superior room which is the room we booked.

Pleasent

Isabelle was lovely. The house was stunning! Really pretty. We were lucky with the weather! Was comfortable and clean. There’s a dog at the property which is nice if you like dogs.

The only thing I would say, is when we come to stay after a long journey from London, it would be lovely if a cup of tea or coffee was complementary... I totally understand having a paid “honesty bar” for alcohol. We don’t drink alcohol…. but I do feel after travelling such a long way it would’ve been a nice touch. You can’t really prepare yourself a big meal so keep that In mind also! We had a takeaway and ate out.

Cozy Stay in a Perfect Location

I really enjoyed my stay—choosing this place made my whole trip incredible. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. While the bathroom and toilet are shared, it wasn’t a big issue. Breakfasts were a lovely touch, offering a chance to chat with other guests or the welcoming host. Plus, there’s an adorable dog to greet you! The location is very convenient—just 10 minutes to the center of Genk by public transport or a 40-minute walk. Nearby, you’ll find a large swimming pool, a sports complex, and a park. A grocery store is also within a 15-minute walk. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we hope to return in the summer!

Incredible nice place - never before have I felt so comfortable on a business trip

Isabelle is a very nice person and a great host. She makes you feel very welcome. The house is amazing and very attractively designed. I relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the incredible peace and quiet outside the house. I can definitely recommend a stay at Het Herenhuis.

Aangename B&B in mooie villa

Uiterst vriendelijke gastvrouw en zoon, mooie moderne kamer, en we werden 's avonds ook nog naar het restaurant gebracht. Koffie en thee zijn altijd beschikbaar.

Aangezien we de enige gasten waren was dit geen probleem, maar als er meerdere gasten zijn moet je WC en badkamer delen. Je hebt een auto nodig om het centrum te bereiken

Prima overnachting

Het is dichtbij gelegen in het centrum van Genk, dus je hoeft niet ver te rijden. Het design en uiterlijk van het huis is erg mooi op de buddha en kristallen na.

Van buiten lijkt de acommodatie erg luxe. In werkelijkheid laat dat grotendeels te wensen over. We hadden met alles bij elkaar een ruimere verwachting van.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit Herz, Charme und fröhlichen Hunden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch mal wieder kommen!

Wir hatten bei unserem zweiten Besuch im Het Herenhuis das Superior Zimmer und waren begeistert. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Besonders das Badezimmer mit der freistehenden Badewanne war ein echtes Highlight. Das Frühstück war super lecker, sehr vielfältig und wurde frisch von der unglaublich sympathischen Gastgeberin zubereitet. Die beiden Hunde waren sehr süß und verbreiten einfach viel Freude. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Es gab wirklich nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat, alles war perfekt.

Het Herenhuis: absolute aanrader!!

Prachtig huis, mooie kamer, alles tot in de puntjes geregeld. We werden uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen door de buitengewoon enthousiaste gastvrouw. Jammer dat we geen eigen douche en toilet hadden. (Er is wel een kamer beschikbaar met eigen douche en toilet) Absolute aanrader. We komen zeker nog eens terug, en bevelen deze locatie ten zeerste aan.

Mooie ontdekking in Genk

Prachtige woning, heel aangename tuin. Gastvrije ontvangst en een uitgebreid ontbijt. Mooie ligging, zeer rustig en toch vlakbij het Thor Park in Genk

Wij hadden 4 kamers geboekt, maar niet alle kamers waren voorzien van aansluitende badkamers. Er was maar 1 toilet op de eerste verdieping voor alle kamers. Geen probleem want wij waren met ons gezin, maar weinig privacy indien je maar 1 kamer boekt.
