Douro Valley Terrace Apartments

The location right in the centre of the town is beside shops and restaurants. The star of the property is the amazing terrace which gets all day sun exposure and the best view ever! Everything you would need was in the property. It was clean and well equipped. I had a number of small criticisms but overall the experience was a positive one.

Communication was not great as I left a number of messages on the booking.com messenger in the days approaching the stay and didnt get a response until the night before. The keys were handed over in person and not by key code as it says on the webpage. There is only one aircon unit and it is located in the hall. There is no lift and 50 stairs to climb with suitcases or shopping in the heat is challenging. We found parking near the apartment a bit of a challenge. There is a dog who barked non stop in a neighbouring building....how everyone else sticks it is a mystery! Lastly the place was very clean but the furniture was tired with marks and stains and the walls need touching up.

Het appartement is fris ingericht, wit, grijs, rotan,… Wij voelden ons hier helemaal thuis. Het terras is geweldig. Wat een uitzicht. In het begin schrok ik van de kerkklokken. Dat went. Alleen maar leuk. Het gebouw ziet er van buiten niet zo geweldig uit, binnen is het super!!!!! De gastvrouw Marli verwelkomde ons met heerlijke plaatselijke koekjes en kersen. We wilden niet meer weg. Een plek om naar terug te keren. Veel restaurantjes!

Viel Platz. Super Lage. Nette Gastgeberin die uns mit leckerem Gebäck begrüßte.

Es war leider trotz mehrerer Heizkörper sehr kalt, vor allem der Fußboden. Hier und da etwas Schimmel.

O terraço tem uma vista espetacular onde sobressai a natureza. Ótimo para descansar longe da confusão.
