The apartment was clean and well appointed for a short stay. The bedlinen and towels were quite new and clean and the bed very comfortable. We didn't really use the kitchen for cooking, but again, it was clean and functional. The location for the old centre of Tours was excellent too.

We had been given the wrong key box code and messaged the hosts three or four times via Booking.com and email and text, but each time, we were sent the same wrong code again. We called the number that was for emergencies three times but got no answer so left a voicemail in French. By then, we had been locked outside the property for almost 40 minutes and it was getting late after a 7 hour drive from England. We were about to give up and were trying to find a hotel to stay at instead when someone called us back, but they still would not accept that the code was wrong and so they asked us to send a video of how we were typing in the code and to confirm what it was. Once we had done this, the person realised that they had given us an old code and told us that it had recently been changed. Although we understand that mistakes like this can happen, it was very frustrating to find that our issue with the code was repeatedly dismissed and then questioned. In all it probably took about an hour to get into the property and we completely missed our dinner reservation. I think it would have been courteous for the hosts to send a message of apology. Once we had the correct code and got into the apartment though, it was fine and we had a very pleasant stay. I would suggest that a second fan would be helpful in hot weather for the sitting room (and anyone sleeping on the sofabed). It might also be worth informing people that the bathroom and shower is a very tight space and may not be suitable for all. Lastly, we realised en-route that Tours is a low emission city and that we needed a permit to drive into it, so though we managed to solve the issue, again, I think it would be helpful to inform guests about that so that they avoid the fines.

Ménage de qualité hôtelière très très appréciable! Le seul problème est le manque de rideaux dans la chambre. Nous avons fini par dormir dans le salon tellement le bruit et la lumière de la rue arrière était insupportable. A part ce détail notre séjour était parfait. Carrefour vraiment à proximité du logement très pratique!
