The location was lovely. The ferry and restaurants were within walking distance. The private beach was so peaceful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The cottage was very quaint and interesting, loved the old hardwood floors.
As an older person, I was not fond of the step up into the bathroom. I also did not care for the door lock - the owner had to help me load an app onto my phone so we could lock and unlock the door. It worked fine, but I needed help with setting it up. Parking was also scant, once we found a spot, we did not move the car until we left.

The location was walking distance to a nearby bagel shop, pizza place, and bar. Sandy Hook Beach was a short drive away. The space was cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with 5 adults. The neighborhood was quiet and nice to walk around at night. The owner was responsive and attentive. Looking out over the bay at night and seeing the NYC skyline was something else.
The on street parking was kind of limited but there is a municipal lot at the end of the road, a very short distance from the house. We were able to pull up in front of the house and unload our things then go park the car. So it wasn't the worst thing in the world, especially if you dont mind walking.

We loved everything..
It would be nice to have a tv in one or two of the bedrooms in addition to the one that is in the kitchen.
