Apartament ETRA close to piste

Both the owner and host of the apartment were incredibly communicative and helpful, giving us advice on local restaurants and information about skiing. Check-in was easy and they were very kind to allow us a later check-out time so we could get one more ski session in the morning of our departure. The location is excellent for the price - the apartment is at the top of Via Clotes (big hill!), a 15 min walk from the centre of town, but it was still walkable and we had the added bonus of being able to ski directly down to our home. The apartment itself was cosy and warm with all the essentials. We were able to make sandwiches for lunch on the mountain and had one simple dinner at home. There was storage for our skiing equipment in a basement garage and we had no trouble parking our car on the street (we could have used the garage for this but it was easier on the street).

The kitchen area could do with an extractor fan.

Clean homely property, good bed, ski back from the main slope, 5 minutes to slope in the morning, quiet location. Host Marco was receptive and very helpful.

No WiFi, .8km from town downhill 10 mins return is a steep gradient takes 15 minutes, didn’t try taxi service which was advised is €15

The downhill walk into the center was fine only about 12-15 mins The apartment was basic but had sufficient crockery /towels etc The bed was comfortable Could do with some info eg about the switches / good restaurants/taxi's

Overall it was fine, not amazing, but deffo not bad. Little things would improved the experience. The shower didn't work on the friday, so I had to take one at a friends place. Very limited plugs for re-charging phone. The entrance very icy, the hill up really very very icy. Advised host, was told to use carport, however it very icy too (and quite spooky for a single woman to be using at night). So ended up edging up the side hanging on to the fence !! The walk back up to the apartment is steep, but there is a hotel mid way. Being picky but for the hosts benefit, the kitchen sponge was pretty dirty. Overall the cleanliness was ok.
