Check-in was easy with the host, Adrian, who was responsible for managing the property for the owner. Was there on time and friendly. The apartment is big and nice. The gated apartment/villa area is extremely well kept and gardeners are constantly buzzing around. Lush and green. There are a lot of local/Spanish people and few tourists. This gave the Urbanization a very nice atmosphere. There was always room under an umbrella at the great pool and we met only friendly people in the Urbanization. Private parking for one car, but there is also parking available on the street. Tennis and padel court is available.
Adrian, who represents the owner, is friendly, but when we had issues in the apartment, we received friendly and long-winded messages on WhatsApp, but no action followed. We lacked a few things in the kitchen. There was a very limited amount of cutlery items for such a big apartment. And also a few broken items, like the wine opener, we were advised to buy one ourselves in a nearby market. OK, no problem. We did that. What was not a minor problem was constant power outages. Not in the area, but in the apartment. Time and time again, we needed to reengage the main power switch. We did this around 30 times during our stay - also during the night. This means AC was off for hours, and the refrigerator with food and drinks was off. Not very nice to return to after a long day. We reported this to Adrian and were suggested to try a couple of things, like turning off the water heater. This did not help. We were also promised that an electrician would be called in, but no one ever showed up the following 10 days, so I guess it was not a priority. The Urbanization has padel and tennis courts, but you have to book through the contact person. You can´t do it yourself. This has to be done 24 hours in advance, which is fine, and Adrian booked for us. We didn´t know that it was only for 3 bookings. After that, you have pay 4 euros to book the courts. Again, not a huge issue, but we just had no idea. It seems like there is also a sports or activities program in the Urbanization, but as an "outsider" you have no idea what is going on. While we are sure Adrian does his best, he also runs several companies doing wildly different things and seems very busy. When we politely suggested monetary compensation for the power outages. We were instead offered a discount on boat rental through his other company, for which we had no use. This seemed inflexible, but the owner is oc responsible for this choice. When we declined, a discount on future bookings was also offered.
