Villa Jacarandá

Proprietari disponibili e molto gentili, siamo arrivati a orario molto tardo ma non è stato un problema accedere in appartamento. Posizione perfetta per il posto dove dovevamo lavorare.

Very good location, next to all restaurants and beach. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I would recommend the place just keep in mind that is Europe and houses are old so we spent most of our time outside and not in the house. We were there only for the weekend, there is a huge construction right beside the house but since we were there the weekend there was no noise. But I'm guessing that if you stay there for the week....it would be unbearable to stay there so just keep that in mind.

Very old place, they tried to put it up to date but bathroom of the years 1920...don't know if it's hard to replace all of it but very very old. But they keep the place clean as much as they can. The dryer does not work properly so keep that in mind just hang it in front of the heater...very cold place since we were there in March but there was a heater in every room which was fine for sleeping.

The good... - Really excellent comms from the hosts on WhatsApp - Upstairs space was excellent - large, airy rooms - Location - first class - only a few minutes walk to the beach - Clean - Free parking included in a prime location - Cascais is downright lovely. Delighted we opted to stay here as a side trip on the way to the Algarve.

The bad and the ugly... - Ground floor bathroom looked like something from the Victorian age. The Shower head was cracked meaning it was more like standing under a tap than a shower. - The kitchen was extremely outdated. - This property could do with some Euros investing in it... - The 'private pool' was more like an oversized kids pool/bath and had crap all inside it. Not maintained at all - and not exactly 'inviting'. - Gardeners were making a right racquet at 08.30 on the morning of our departure cutting trees down. Considering we only stayed for one night, they could have at least scheduled this for our check out time. - The cleaner was still there upon our check in time and remained there for a further hour cleaning ( although we did appreciate how clean it was - just could have been scheduled better it seems) - Not the best value for money - although was ok. For 321 Euros, I was expecting a little more....
