About this apartment rental
Stunning, unobstructed OCEAN VIEW. A lovingly furnished two-room apartment with a balcony in the front row. RIGHT ON THE OCEAN and just a few meters from the beach. A highlight is the light-filled window wall offering views of the Baltic Sea and, at times, breathtaking sunsets. The corner balcony with a beach chair, a closed fireplace, two large TVs, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower, a free underground parking space, and an elevator are additional highlights.
Neighborhood Description
Börgerende is located between the Converter See nature reserve and the Gespensterwald forest—with its impressive old-growth trees—right on the E9 European cycling and hiking trail. Börgerende is a beautiful Baltic Sea town with a maritime flair, situated between Warnemünde and Kühlungsborn, 3 kilometers east of Heiligendamm.
There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The nearest supermarket is a “Netto” in Börgerende-Rethwisch. Just before Bad Doberan, there’s a great Edeka with many organic products. Its proximity to Rostock—including Warnemünde—and to Kühlungsborn makes the otherwise quite peaceful town of Börgerende attractive. This otherwise rather sleepy town is located almost exactly halfway between Kühlungsborn and Warnemünde. These towns are very easy to reach. The Ostseepark near Rostock, with many stores such as a Globus supermarket, Mediamarkt, etc., is also only about 13 km away if you take the direct route by car. For families with children, the Rostock Zoo is also recommended.

For a fun-filled day:
The proximity to Rostock (including Warnemünde) and Kühlungsborn makes the otherwise quite peaceful town of Börgerende an attractive destination.
I’ve already recommended the Rostock Zoo. A ride on the Mollibahn is also fun—for example, park at the Heiligendamm train station, take the Molli to Bad Doberan, and head back after 1–2 hours. In Bad Doberan, we like to shop at the market near the “Sparre” bakery/café.
Börgerende is located right on the Europa Cycling and Hiking Trail. Across from the Waterkant Suites Aparthotel is a rental station for bicycles, go-karts, etc.
A tour through the GHOST FOREST (see photos on my website) to Nienhagen is also recommended.
For horse lovers, Börgerende has a large equestrian center, which also features an indoor riding arena for inclement weather.
