About this house rental
On a quiet country lane surrounded by nature, this impeccably designed contemporary farmhouse is a welcoming, luxurious retreat for families, friends and couples alike. We are well set up for both summer and winter stays, with plenty of space and entertainment no matter the time of year. For warm days there's the freshwater pool, trampoline, swing set and 3.5 acres of flat gardens to enjoy. For our winter guests we have 2 firepits, a formal sitting room with wood-burning fireplace, plus a separate family room with games and toys galore! For those looking to get out and about, we are on the doorstep of Sharon Nature Preserve, and a quick 5 minute ride into town. The acclaimed Troutbeck estate and restaurant is at the bottom of the hill and is exceptional!
Interior: 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, large formal living room with wood-burning fireplace plus cozy reading/movie den, fully equipped chef's kitchen with breakfast bar opening out to large dining area, separate pantry, mudroom with radiant heating and separate family room with toys, games and TV. Central AC plus ceiling fans in every room, wood-burning fireplace, Sonos speaker system, smart TV, wine fridge, fitness equipement (weights, yoga/stretching mat), pack n play/travel crib, high quality linens and towels.
Exterior: deep front porch, uncovered deck with gas grill, outdoor dining and lounge seating, 2 wood-burning firepits, heated freshwater pool (fully fenced) with loungers, dining table and umbrellas, swing set, large trampoline (use requires signed waiver), flat landscaped gardens.
Local Information: Across the street from Sharon Nature Preserve, 20 minutes from Mohawk Mountain, 5 minutes to town of Sharon, 3 minutes to Troutbeck Estate.
Policies: Primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Pets (dogs only) are allowed subject to owner approval and will incur a small additional fee, utility fees are included in the rental amount however the guest shall be responsible for costs associated with excessive usage (over $110 per night) of utilities during their stay. No events/parties allowed. Maximum number of adults allowed is 5, maximum number of children allowed is 4 (not including infants), not suitable for unrelated family stays.

We had a fabulous time at this beautiful farmhouse property with our familly. The stunning yard (complete with pool, trampoline and swingset) and basement full of toys were perfect for our family getaway, and Anne was responsive and attuned to our needs the whole time.

10 stars. I am a huge cook, and the kitchen had everything from immersion blenders to crock pots, food processors, and, best of all, wonderful knives. The beds were super comfortable. The house is new and well-built with amazing views that I enjoyed with my coffee each morning. They have 3 different ways to make your coffee! Our city dog loved the free run of the backyard without a leash. We stayed for 2.5 weeks and it started to feel like home. It is a wonderful, cozy home, and the property manager, Anne, was excellent, communicating whenever I had a question. Check-in was super easy. I hope to stay again in the spring for my daughter's graduation.
