About this house rental
This Federal Style home has many original details, a center hall with an arched entrance and a spiral staircase leading up to the third floor. Five bedrooms with new matresses, furnished with period antiques and fine linens. Our dining room can accommodate ten adults and two children. The living room has a concert-quality Steinway piano. Paneled library room features a large smart TV, and wood burning fireplace. Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and many extras.
Many of the owner's husband's famous photographs are on display throughout our home, including a book of his work. His photos include those of Bob Dylan, Billy Holiday, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, Leonard Bernstein and Glenn Gould.
Two lovely outdoor eating areas, a terrace and patio, are available in warmer months and a large grill can be used year-round. The private grounds can accommodate outdoor games or are good for enjoying nature.

The house and area are lovely. The only issue we had was we couldn’t tell if anyone had been in the house in a while or had done a quick dusting before we arrived. It needed it. But all was great otherwise.

We had an amazing stay at this house for my daughter's high school graduation - our large family of 13 could fit very comfortably. The house is in a beautiful location on a beautiful property, very well stocked and comfortable. The care taker is on site and very helpful. Hope to return!

My coworkers and I had an excellent weeklong stay while on a work trip. The host communicated well and made check in easy. The property caretaker is friendly and helpful. The house is large and very comfortable and we had no issues during our stay! We hope to return.

This is an immaculately maintained old New England house. The location is beautiful. The appliances and plumbing are modern and the beds are comfortable. The internet connection was fine for our needs. In my 15 years of experience renting with VRBO, this owner was exceptionally hands-on.
