1SB 28 - Nice and comfortable 150m2 house with communal pool located in Llafranc, 500m from the beach

The house itself was very nice. As some others have mentioned, the appliances could do with an upgrade, but that is a minor quibble. The pool and tennis court were really top notch and the location, after recovering from the steep climb from Llafranc village, was excellent. Beautiful views, lovely region, good food and great weather. What more could you ask? My only reason for reducing by one star was the constant requests for us to reduce the noise from our neighbor and from the maintenance guy (who I am sure was acting on their request). We were not excessively noisy, but if you are going to rent to a large group including children and young adults you need to expect some level of noise -we were always quiet at night and did our best to keep the noise to a minimum. But we didn't rent a monastery!

Excellent accommodation, spacious living room and bedrooms. Lovely terraces and garden with shade, good outside tables and chairs. Beds very comfortable. Ceiling fans were great. Fantastic pool close to villa, good loungers and shade at pool. Fixtures and fittings and all kitchen equipment is very old and not of the standard expected for price paid. No hot water at all for Saturday, Sunday and Monday of stay was very difficult (plumber came late afternoon Monday) No hot water in main en-suite on top floor for the whole of our stay not good enough. Having to carry all our bed linen and towels (along with all our own luggage) from the office to property was not acceptable and have never experienced this before. Should be at the property when you arrive. Property was not especially clean, maybe because it was empty before. All surfaces inside and out were dusty, dead insects in bathrooms and most kitchen equipment was sticky/greasy. Pool needs cleaning more often, made worse because firework debris stayed on bottom of pool from Monday night to Friday.

This is a nice beach condo that has enough patina that you won’t worry about it being too precious. It’s a close but steep walk to the beach and town. The pool and tennis courts are great. It has a lovely porch and view. Llafranc is a jewel of a town. It was a well equipped kitchen and we did enjoy cooking in it. The rental management company was responsive and they sent someone over right away to assess the unit. It was not fixable during our stay, but they did try to get a repairman out. . There’s no AC and so we left the windows open at night to try to stay cool. There were a few mosquitoes. All in all despite the issues we enjoyed our time and we definitely want to go back to Llafranc.
