Great Location

Location is fantastic; unique opportunity to stay on a houseboat in the city centre The houseboat had everything required for a short stay. Gdansk is a beautiful city to explore, we could have done with more than three days.

There is an issue with the sewage draining system on the standard houseboat; a constant smell which made it difficult even to sleep. It looks like this has been an issue in the past, and appears to be an underlying problem which is not being addressed. It is with great reluctance that I am leaving a less than positive review, but the management company ought not ignore the problem that they have with this particular houseboat. As we were out and about every day, the problem only became acute at night and in the mornings. We hoped it would pass, and were not therefore inclined to insist on being relocated.

Fantastic base to enjoy a wonderful city.

This is such a fantastic concept - the location is so close to the centre of the city and offers fantastic outdoor space. Beds were comfortable, bed linen was nice quality, kitchen well equipped and all very clean. The top deck is wonderful, with plenty of river life to see. As this is a city there is some traffic noise which you would expect. The service from the management company was exceptional.

The outdoor furniture on ground floor was a bit tired. Would like bigger towels !

Fun experience in a houseboat.

The location was in Old Town, convenient to many shopping and dining places. First time in a houseboat. Beds were comfortable. Area is lively. Sound carries into the boat. Some may not like that. It was okay for us; it added to the festive, vacation feel.

Hot water was minimal. One person could take, at max, a 2 or 3 minute shower before a reset was needed on the hot water panel. The next person had to wait 20 to 30 minutes to shower. Took a couple of freezing cold showers! The outside temperature was colder than we expected. That didn’t help.

An excellent find and a perfect stay

An excellent find! The house boat is very well thought out and the situated in a prime position to walk into the old town. Literally a few minutes. The houseboat had everything we needed for a three nights stay and we loved the fact it was so peaceful. When the Large patio door was open, we enjoyed watching the ducks, canoes and boat trips go by.

Great location. Coolness value is off the charts. Comfortable and great sleep for me. They even have a sauna boat! (But I didn’t have time to use it)

Could be slightly cleaner, but mostly outside and the dock itself should have trash picked up. AC leaked.

A beautiful place to stay

The houseboat is utterly beautiful. Location is perfect- right in the centre for you to walk to all the main sights. It’s incredibly peaceful at night time- we enjoyed sat on the roof of the boat with a cup of tea. Beautiful inside with a bathroom that works perfectly. The floating sauna (a few steps down the way) was a lovely addition to your night time routine. Everything was very straight forward and would highly recommend to others.

Clean , compact spacey acc with a difference , welcome break from hotel rooms .

Very central to the old town whilst pretty quiet, and remarkably spacious for a small accommodation. Very roomy inside . Spotlessly clean Good selection of kitchen items . Complimentary tea , coffee , water . Didn’t get to use the Sauna but those facilities looked superb . Fabulous high powered shower. Comfy bed . Excellent comms from hosts.

Houseboat first timers

Good location within the city giving us a new experience of staying on a houseboat. Very comfy beds and pillows. Well equipped kitchen for a short stay. Good shower with ample supply of hot water. Nice seating area outside to view the river also Top deck loungers are a nice extra for those sunny days.

Our stay on the Houseboat in Gdańsk was a truly unique experience; we'll definitely be back!

During our stay in Gdańsk, we had the unique pleasure of residing in a La Mare Motlava Houseboat, a delightful dwelling anchored just at the threshold of the city's historic Old Town. This enchanting "floating apartment" came equipped with a spacious living area, two separate bedrooms with queen-size bed in one and double-decker bed in another, a fully-fitted kitchen, air conditioning, and even our favorite - a Nespresso machine. Surprisingly, water pressure and temperature regulation were impeccable. The front terrace provided a serene space for dining and smallships-watching, while the upper deck boasted loungers for sunbathing and on aft a handy grill area. Thoughtful design touches, like secure doors and adjustable blinds, ensured comfort and privacy. Truly, this was a singular experience, reminiscent of the charm and allure of the Highlander TV-series. An absolute must-try for those seeking a distinctive Gdańsk adventure.

A few areas for improvement during our stay on the houseboat were: - The stern lacked railings, which meant we had to exercise extra caution when opening the bedroom door and ascending or descending the stairs to the upper deck. - The internet signal was disappointingly weak. Despite our attempts to relocate the router, we ended up relying on hotspot connections from our mobile phones. - Rain tended to drench the cushions on the terrace chairs quite significantly, necessitating either proactive storage or extended drying times afterwards. These are all not essential little things, but they are things to be aware of.

A wonderful experience that we would love to come back to!

Perfect location in Gdansk, wonderful place where you can sit outside and feel both the city atmosphere and enjoy the calm canal at the same time. The houseboat has a luxury feeling and we really loved it there.

The kitchen is very small and not too easy to cook in. A microwave would have been nice, but we can understand that there’s no room for it. Internet didn’t work so well during our stay.

Najbardziej podobała mi się lokalizacja obiektu i komunikacja z personelem, który jednak na każdym kroku próbuje bardzo nachalnie wyciągnąć kolejne opłaty

1. Nie działające kaloryfery (2 z 4) kolejne 2 działające były zarządzane przez wynajmującego co skutkowało zimnica wieczorem (14 stopni) i sauna w środku nocy (27 stopni) 2. W środku łóżka były poustawiane puszki z lakierami i resztkami po remoncie, które miały bardzo intensywny gryzący zapach i wszędzie był kurz po remontowy 3. W głównym pokoju z narożnikiem jest zainstalowana cała masa przełączników i pilotów, które nie działają i nie mają zastosowania 4. Sedes z pompą jest wadliwy i w trakcie jego pracy trzęsie się podłoga w całym kutrze. 5. Pokoje są klaustrofobicznie małe i w pokoju z łóżkiem piętrowym trzeba ustalić kto wchodzi i od razu idzie na górę i kto wejdzie potem bo dwie osoby na raz nie mają miejsca na podłodze. Nie ma tam też żadnej szafy ani miejsca na walizkę

Rozczarowanie – opis niezgodny z rzeczywistością

Lokalizacja w samym centrum miasta.

Lokalizacja domków jest bardzo dobra – w samym centrum Gdańska, ale niestety to jedyny plus. Domek, który według opisu miał mieć 65 m², w rzeczywistości miał może 20 m², więc dla 5 osób było zdecydowanie za ciasno. Podłoga była brudna – po chwili chodzenia nasze skarpetki zrobiły się czarne. Ogrzewanie w salonie i małej sypialni nie działało. W salonie można było nagrzać klimatyzacją, której w małej sypialni niestety nie było. Krzesła na zewnątrz były zniszczone i połamane. Drugiego dnia naszego pobytu zatkał się prysznic (domek numer 9) – woda zalała całą łazienkę i salon. Po kontakcie z biurem obsługi klienta przyszedł technik, który próbował naprawić usterkę przez ponad godzinę, niestety bez skutku. Z rozmowy z panem technikiem można było wywnioskować, że zatkany odpływ to częsty problem w domku numer 9. Zdecydowaliśmy się więc wyprowadzić i przenieść do hotelu. Na szczęście pani z obsługi bez problemu zwróciła nam pieniądze. Niestety nie polecam tego miejsca – standard jest bardzo niski, a cena zdecydowanie nieadekwatna do warunków. W okolicy można znaleźć hotele o znacznie wyższym standardzie w dużo niższej cenie.

Sehr tolle Lage und für Reisen zu zweit oder mit kleinen Kindern zu empfehlen.

Die Lage ist top. Man kann Danzig sehr gut zu Fuß erkunden. Parkplätze gibt es gegen Gebühr vor Ort.

Die Abbildungen der Unterkunft stimmten nicht mit der Realität überein. Die Outdoor Möbel waren kaputt und zerschlissen und dreckig. Das Hausboot drinnen war sauber und zweckmäßig. Die Bilder vermittelten den Eindruck zwei gleich großer Zimmer, dies war nicht der Fall. Die Reise war für 5 Erwachsene geplant und wir sind krankheitsbedingt nur zu viert angereist - Gottseidank. Das hätte nicht gepasst. Für eine Familie mit Kindern mag das funktionieren, aber nicht für fünf Erwachsene. Das sollte ggf. in der Beschreibung ergänzt werden. Bettdecken und Handtücher für die 5. Person fehlten zudem.

Ein tolles Hausboot mit guter Ausstattung. Die Zimmer sind nicht groß aber sehr modern, sauber und schön. Die Lage ist fantastisch. Man benötigt kein Auto.
