Villa Ersanavera

The property is incredibly private, secure and spacious. There were 11 of us and everyone had plenty of room. The pool was brilliant as well as the sun lounge area and the lawn for the children to run around on. Inside we all had comfortable beds that were long enough even for my 6’4 father! The lounge, playroom and dining room were again, very spacious with all we could need. The table football was a life saver for entertaining the kids (and adults) when it rained. The kitchen and utility room were a good size and were very well equipped. The property manager was excellent at communicating while we were there even if he couldn’t solve all the problems we encountered.

Unfortunately out of the 5 a/c units in the property, only 2 were working properly. We had selected the property based on several key factors and this was one of them to which I had communicated to the host. The only unit for the two bedrooms upstairs had completely failed and had been known about before our stay. It was very hot up there and made it hard to sleep. One unit stopped blowing cold air and the third started leaking into the light switch below! I also mentioned this to the property manager, but the grounds need some work. Both in terms of general care and long term updating. The paths are overgrown, the planting and borders in need of some serious weeding and maintenance and the grass at the very least, needed a cut. The edging stones around the patio were broken and loose and posed a trip hazard. Some things we felt were poor; The outdoor table was dirty with dried food on it when we got there and a lot of the walls/finishes could do with some attention. Bits of skirting board coming off, peeling paint and mould stains from previous leaks to name but a few. Lastly, for the price of the property, we felt a little welcome pack would have been a nice gesture. Maybe some bread, milk (basics) etc and a booklet to explain about the area and house. Again, the property manager was available to ask about these things, but having that info to hand would have been better.
