Great location for our needs. The cottage was warm and comfortable, well equipped for what we needed. Birgitte was a lovely host, helpful and prompt in replying. Security was good.
The car parking at the cottage was touch and go as the car rental company gave me quite a large car (BYD Seal) that literally just fitted through the gap so we parked in the main village car park 2 mins walk away after successfully getting the car out again. A slightly smaller car would have been no issue at all.

Lovely cottage /apartment on upper floor in easy reach of centre of Petworth. Some beautiful features and art work so very unique. Parking was possible as long as you are brave and we managed to get 2 vehicles in. Lots of lovely cafes in walking distance and easy to walk to Petworth House.
There were a few items that just needed a bit of maintenance including dining chairs and bedstead. Found that mattress in double room is not full size for the frame which was not great and also discovered some linen issues during stay which I am sure would have been sorted if we had reported straight away.

The cottage itself is a characterful place to stay. It is also close to the Petworth town centre where there are attractive cafes and shops. Bathrooms were nicely fitted out, and well-supplied with toiletry items of high quality.
Parking at the cottage is awkward. We found it a bit noisy at times, even quite late at night, as the cottage is right next to a road around the edge of the town. Kitchen equipment and tableware were not all in good repair, and some items were in short supply for our group of five adults and two small children.
