Cobblers Cottage

Das Cottage war liebevoll eingerichtet. Es war alles da, was man braucht und hatte viel Komfort. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und Ein- und Auschecken war absolut unkompliziert. Es liegt zentral in dem hübschen Städtchen Petworth zur Erkundung von Südengland. Wir haben die Zeit vor Ort sehr genossen und können es nur empfehlen.

Das Cottage lag an einer Durchgangsstraße, die unerwartet stark befahren war, so dass das Schlafen mit offenen Fenstern trotz anhaltender Hitze zwar Abkühlung brachte, aber dafür recht viel Verkehr zu hören war.

Very welcoming feel to the property and beautifully clean and in perfect condition. Extremely well equipped. Very comfortable beds and ceiling fans kept the bedrooms cool in the heatwave. Pretty garden off the attractive kitchen which was perfect for the dogs too. Location was ideal - short walk into the centre of Petworth and side entrance to Petworth park across the road .

The three floors kept us fit but we tended to spend most time in the kitchen on bottom floor with door to garden. Care had to be taken opening gate to road as traffic fast. But noise from road was not a problem in the cottage.

The whole stay was idyllic. The owners really care. The property is furnished and kept to the highest standard. Full of character and luxurious touches. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Impossible to be critical.

The cottage is exceptional. Everything is immaculately presented and the place is very cosy and welcoming for people, dogs or cats. On arrival there were gifts of a hamper and prosecco with fresh eggs, bread and jam for the next morning. The cottage is exceptionally comfy, with cosy corners everywhere and intimate lighting. There is a wonderful cottage garden and for rainy days there is a TV, satellite and substantial DVD library. There are also lots of books to browse! The bathroom is a cosy place for a soak too and there is a separate downstairs shower. If you like walks, the Petworth NT park is just on your doorstep and the house has incredible paintings to compete with the National Gallery! There are also long walks around the wider countryside and lovely villages and pubs to discover. The town itself is compact but has a little supermarket and lots of antique stores. A lovely out-of-time location.
