Location comfortable and warm
No outside light ,very dark under porch
7.0 / 10.0
Unfortunaltely, our arrival was spoilt by not being able to find the property. When arriving in the dark there are no clear signs to help find the front door, and no light outside to display the name of the cottage....there are 3 cottages, 2 hidden to the back....so some clear, lit signage would help! Our cottage "The Aubrey" was tucked away to the left hand side with no light above the porch to indicate which cottage was which. We wasted a lot of time knocking on doors trying to find the cottage.
Furthermore, when we eventually found the cottage we had been sent an incorrect key code. We then stood outside in the cold for another 15minutes trying to open the box! We had to then contact Skyes to get a different key code...which worked!
The main bedroom with the shower on-suite had a serious leak coming from the under cil of the window...I reported this immediately. I was informed someone would come and to leave the key in the key box, which we did. However, the drip was not fixed and dripped all night keeping my husband awake...this really spoilt our 2nd night.
There are not enough cutlery or mugs for 6 people, or small saucepans.
No clear signage to find the cottage.
No outside light above the door.
Wrong key code given.
Drip not repaired so disturbed sleep.
Not enough cutlery/cups
Sofas/cushions not very comfortable but fine for a short stay.

Location couldn't be improved. General facilities were very good
Where do I start?!
Ridiculously inept 'customer service' for months on end, just to get a response about the property location.
Incorrect support number provided (told it was out of service).
Reported significant issue with leaking roof on arrival. Promised a response. Just about to leave four days later and we still haven't heard back.
No sleep for the first two nights: combination of Chinese water torture from constant puring water from roof and hourly having to empty the bowl we were using to collect it.
Bed in main bedroom is probably the most uncomfortable we have ever tried to sleep on and pillows aren't much better.
No light outside front door or, at least, not working.
Insufficient basics (coffee mugs) for capacity of the property.

Location
Not very well maintained, needed painting, missing skirting boards, didn’t enjoy the mattresses, overall felt very unloved

Location great , just over the bridge to walk into town and very quiet at night.
Lounge spacious with plenty of seating .
Needs better signage and a courtesy light , quite difficult to find as entrance concealed between two other properties.
One small parking space that has a drop at the front ,not visible as you drive in .
The two en-suite showers very weak and did not drain very well. One of which was flooded on arrival as a window had been left open and assume the rain had poured in .The other bathroom fine.
Disappointing that these issues have been mentioned before in reviews and not addressed

The location.
Could do with a lick of paint inside

It was perfect, very comfortable and had everything that we needed!

The location of the property was excellent. A real advantage to have x3 bathrooms.
The property needs painting throughout inside.
Complimentary toiletries would be a nice addition.
The outside lighting is appalling (non-existent!). This made it very difficult to locate the property (no signs) especially as we arrived in the dark. My elderly Mum tripped, luckily just a bruise but this is something that needs addressing (we found the torch too late for this to be avoided).

Location was really good. Cottage was clean, plenty of space and really warm. All essentials items were provided, glasses, plates and utensils. Would stop here again.
Parking only enough for one car is if you have guests they will need to use the car park across the road but charge is £16 for 3 days. Could do with a lick of paint as it looks tired in places. Garden out the back could do with a tidy and clean with a jet washer. Somewhere to put your shoes near the front door wouldn't go a miss.

Sitting/dining room felt damp, dark and unloved. A dirty ironing board and sad clothes airer on full view as you enter. Sticky floors in walkway and kitchen. No cafetière as in photo. Sad collection of tea bags and coffee, 1 dishwasher tablet (plenty of tea towels and washing up liquid). Minimal crockery, cutlery and glasses. Having got used to Air B&B where an element of finesse - particularly at this price, this did not meet our expectations. Photos on the site were misleading - not really any garden space we felt we could use. The private courtyard was dirty, damp, dripping drainpipe, algae/flies, unbrushed, cobwebs. No covers on the wicker chairs. All a bit sad. The bedrooms were better presented by attention to detail not there - like the price label still on the bedside lamp. Garden path overgrown. No garden seating.

The rooms were lovely and two of the three bedrooms very large.
The shower in the main bathroom did not have hot water running, we contacted the owners and they did send a plumber out but he was not able to fix the shower on the day so we used the ones in the ensuite (which are much smaller) for the remainder of the holiday. There is only one parking space which was tricky with three cars (there is free parking available half a miles walk away which we didn’t realise and one of our group members is a wheelchair user so we had to swap cars on the drive a few times). It was hard to initially find the property as it’s not well signposted and instructions could have been clearer

Location to the centre was great
We spent 45 mins driving around looking for it. No signage and entrance point was behind another cottage so that needs to be made clearer?
The shower in the twin room doesn’t drain away, you end up standing in the base in water and it goes down 15 mins later.

Brilliant location. Three bathrooms for 3 couples was great.
Only space for 1 car, but there was parking nearby.
