About this cottage rental

This luxury Grade II listed cottage rests in the market town of Bakewell and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms.

Castle Hill is part of a Georgian Grade II listed building set within a courtyard in Bakewell. It comprises four bedrooms; three super king-size doubles with zip/link beds, one with en-suite bathroom, and a ground floor super king-size double, sleeping eight people altogether. No infants or children under 5 years old can be accepted. The interior also boasts a bathroom, ground floor cloakroom with utility area, along with an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. To the outside is off-road parking for 2 cars and a patio area to the side with furniture. Castle Hill is a luxurious getaway in the heart of the Peak District National Park.

Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.


Town: Bakewell offers a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as local farmers’ markets. There is an old 17th Century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Situated within the Peak District National Park, it is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful region. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britain’s premier theme park, is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall.
