Cuilreigh, North Connel

Such a beautiful stay at Cuilreigh and a few miles from the stunning Ardmucknish Bay coastline with easy access to Oban, Fort William and other coastal towns. The property is done to a very high standard, with a lot of care and thought put into making it a warm and welcoming stay. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped for eating and cooking. The lounge is extremely comfortable and relaxing after a hard days hike. The bathroom has a gorgeous tub and powerful, hot shower! The three bedrooms are all super comfortable with crisp, clean bedding and lovely pillows! We had the best night sleep three nights running that will certainly take some beating! We never had enough time to enjoy the garden but there are lovely views and plenty of parking for 2/3 cars right outside the door. Above all, Calum is a wonderful host who is extremely attentive and friendly. Thank you Calum, we’ll definitely be back - next time for longer!

Nothing, it’s perfect! You need a car but if you’re coming to explore all that the area has on offer, a car is essential anyway.

We really appreciated the welcome basket and the friendly welcome from Calum. The house was spotlessly clean and everything we needed was provided for. We liked the quieter location away from Oban but close enough for a quick drive into town.

We liked everything, but sometimes were a bit unsure about some of the electronics like the cooker. Leaving the instruction manuals can sometimes be helpful if guests aren't familiar with different makes of appliances.

Lack of a second toilet/shower room

The location was fabulous and the property had a really good range of facilities. The host was incredibly helpful and kind.

The property is lovely but would be even better for a bit more colour and the opportunity for gentler lighting (too many ceiling lights that made it very bright). Also, adapter plugs for toothbrush and phone etc.
