170 Stufen zum Quartier waren eine Herausforderung. Wir haben es sportlich gemeistert. Die Ausstattung der Küche könnte etwas umfangreicher sein.

We stayed at Alexander’s villa, and it was one of our best vacations ever! The view of the sea and the mountains is absolutely breathtaking, and the whole place has an idyllic atmosphere. ​The apartment itself is clean, , freshly renovated, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Every room has air conditioning, which was a absolute lifesaver during the unusual heatwave! ​To reach the villa, you walk up a flight of stairs lined with gorgeous roses on both sides. It looks realy like paradise. Since the villa is located on a hill, you need to be fit, if you plan on walking down to the sea on foot. At the same time it is possible to get to the beach, or Monaco, or Menton, by public transport. And if you have a car, it’s even better! ​The villa is spread across two levels. On the lower level, there’s a table tennis table where we enjoyed playing tournaments in the evenings. There’s also a lovely swing with a sea view and comfortable sun loungers. ​We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and can’t wait to come back again!

Everything was just perfect.

The house is absolutely charming—perfect for a couple or a small family. The sea view was breathtaking, and although you have to go down quite a few stairs from the road to reach the house, the walk is made delightful by the roses planted along the way by Alex, the owner. You can pause to admire the flowers and enjoy the stunning views of the sea and coastline. Alex was a wonderful host—very kind and helpful. Since I was there alone and without a car, he acted as a guide and explained the area to me, which I really appreciated. It’s possible to walk to the beach, shops, and nearby restaurants, or to take a bus if you don’t have a car. Walking down to the beach felt like a bit of an adventure: in some places the road doesn’t have a sidewalk, and in others you can take many stairs (I stopped counting after 600!). Coming back up is a real workout, so it’s best if you’re in good physical shape. Overall, I’d recommend arriving by car or renting one during your stay—but even without, the house is beautiful and a memorable place to spend time.
