Oasis near Church Street

Clean, cute and comfortable one-bedroom apartment in a convenient location walkable to Church Street and the Waterfront.

The apartment was just as described. There was convenient off street parking and the location was in walking distance of Church Street Market, the waterfront and the ethnically diverse restaurants of the Old North End. The only time we used our car was to go to North Beach Park. We appreciated that the owners provided the things that make you feel at home - coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, shampoo, conditioner….

The location to downtown Burlington, the University, and the waterfront was excellent. We walked to many of our reunion event locations. We enjoyed the historic home, appreciated the two ceiling fans, bedroom air conditioning, rental security, and off-street parking! Although we ate out during the long weekend, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the bathroom had bathing and shampooing essentials. Additional and thicker towels would be appreciated (one bath, hand, and face were provided). While the bedroom was large with plenty of storage, please consider a new mattress topper/pad and new pillows/protectors (they were stained, and the pillows were lumpy). We appreciated the choice of a comforter or a thinner quilted blanket. The greatest concern was its lack of cleanliness, especially given that this rental is pet-friendly. While it looked clean, the floors and bathroom rug were dirty and covered with pet hair (as were my socks). And the shower curtain needs to be hung correctly (with the curved rod bowed outward, not downward) and replaced (the bottom of the plastic curtain was dirty; consider fabric curtains for easy washing between renters). If you follow all of our suggestions, then you could charge a little more for special city events.
