About this house rental

Welcome to Desert Hacienda—your private retreat overlooking the extraordinary landscapes of Glen Canyon and Lake Powell.

From the home, enjoy unobstructed sunrise views over Navajo Mountain, watch boats cross Lake Powell and see the cliffs above Wahweap Bay change color throughout the day. Surrounded by peaceful desert scenery, the home offers the feeling of a secluded luxury resort while remaining close to Page’s celebrated attractions.

Prepare meals in the fully equipped chef’s kitchen while long shadows stretch across the surrounding plateaus and rock formations. After a day of exploring, relax beside the fireplace, gather around the custom game table, play ping-pong or soak beneath the stars in the private hot tub. With minimal light pollution and expansive skies, this dark-sky community offers exceptional stargazing and memorable views of the Milky Way.

A Gateway to Lake Powell and Page
Desert Hacienda is minutes from some of the Southwest’s most remarkable destinations. Wahweap Marina is approximately six miles away, while Antelope Point Marina is about 19 miles from the home. Guests can enjoy boating, wake surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, beaches, scenic cruises and other Lake Powell adventures.

Page is also home to Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River, Hanging Garden Trail, Waterholes Canyon, and several scenic overlooks. Guided tours are required to enter Antelope Canyon and other slot canyons located on Navajo Nation land, so advance reservations are strongly recommended.

Additional nearby adventures include:

Lone Rock Beach and Wahweap Bay

Glen Canyon Dam and Carl Hayden Visitor Center

Horseshoe Bend and Colorado River rafting trips

Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon

Waterholes Canyon and Cathedral Canyon

Hanging Garden Trail

Skylight Arch and other backcountry trails

Lees Ferry and Marble Canyon

Navajo Bridge and California condor viewing areas

Vermilion Cliffs National Monument

Toadstool Hoodoos

Wire Pass and Buckskin Gulch

Paria Canyon

White Pocket

The Wave at Coyote Buttes North

Rainbow Bridge National Monument

Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument

The Wave requires a highly competitive permit, and permits may also be required for Coyote Buttes, Paria Canyon, Buckskin Gulch, and certain other backcountry areas. Remote destinations such as White Pocket may require a high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle or an experienced guide. Always check current permits, road conditions, weather, lake levels, and access information before departing.

Desert Hacienda also makes an excellent base for longer day trips to Monument Valley, Grand Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Grosvenor Arch, Cottonwood Canyon Road, Goosenecks State Park and other destinations throughout northern Arizona and southern Utah.

Indoor Living
The home welcomes guests with an inviting, step-free entrance and covered porch. Even before stepping inside, you will catch glimpses of the desert landscape through the home’s large windows.

The main living area features a spacious leather sectional with a chaise, providing plenty of room for friends and family to relax, share stories, enjoy the fireplace or stream a favorite show. Books, puzzles and games are available for quieter evenings at home.

The open chef’s kitchen includes custom cabinetry, granite countertops, Thermador appliances, a trash compactor and generous preparation space. The bar seats four and keeps everyone connected while meals are being prepared.

The dining table accommodates eight to nine guests, while the custom game table provides additional seating for four to six. Double French doors and tall windows frame uninterrupted views of the desert and Lake Powell.

Outdoor Living
Step through the French doors onto a large, covered patio with a family-size barbecue grill, dining furniture, additional chairs and tables and an overhead ceiling fan.

Begin the day with sunrise coffee or yoga, relax in the shade during warm afternoons or watch a dramatic desert storm roll across the landscape while enjoying the scent of rain and sage. In the evening, watch the last light illuminate the distant cliffs before settling into the hot tub beneath a sky filled with stars.

Designated Jeep, side-by-side, and off-road trails are accessible in the surrounding area. Guests are responsible for confirming route access, vehicle requirements, permits and applicable land-management regulations.

Great house with excellent kitchen and living spaces. Loved the hot tub. Night sky views were special. My only complaint was the "banging" of the wind through the dryer vent when gusts occurred. Loud as a drum.
