Russell's Motel

Russel’s Motel is a wonderful property. This motel is a shining example of why I try to stay at small, independently owned properties whenever I can. I was running late and Sheena at the front desk was helpful in making the arrangements necessary for me to have a late check-in. I know exactly where I will be staying when I return to Caribou. The room was impeccably clean, and the area super quiet. You have very easy and direct access to both Caribou and Presque Isle for whatever business brings you there. Only minutes from the Canadian border, too!

I only have one suggestion. The room could benefit from a second lamp for light. Otherwise, it was perfect.

The Staff were super knowledgeable with ideas of local events and places to visit. The motel’s appearance at first glance is rustic yet once inside it reminded us of our old camp with updated features. Location, location, location says it all.

That we had to leave at the end of our vacation. We will definitely be adding this motel to our travel log.

It was very clean. The pictures on the booking site made it look very dark and dreary but the paneling had been painted and it looked and smelled fresh and inviting. The room is very basic but had everything we needed. It was very quiet and we both slept like babies! The fridge had an actual freezer top which came in handy. Loved that we could back right up to the door and load and unload .

It was a little off the beaten path

The location from the Northern Maine Veterans cemetery was good. The bed was firm and clean. The shower and the bathroom were both clean. I also enjoy the quilts in each room we rented. The shower was hot and the towels were clean.

The heater in my room was blowing directly to the door across the way. It was not heating the room. I was cold most of the time. The screen door on my brothers room made a whistling sound when the wind blew which kept him awake.
