Clean, cozy, roomy apartment with everything you might need. Two bathrooms, kids room and large bed room with two spare beds. It also has a playstation! If you come with children, host prepares coloring books. Grocery store is literally 30 secs away from the apartment.
Apartment is situated little bit off the centre, but there is a bus stop close to the building. It’s also not that far if you like longer walks (15-20mins).

The duplex structure is ideal for two friends staying for a work-vacation combo (probably the same applies to a friend group and a family with kids). The apartment is sufficiently big so the occupants can retreat into their own spaces with private bathrooms whenever needed, or comfortably convene in the living room-kitchen area or balcony. Spotlessly clean space with nice decor, equipped with literally everything one needs, including electric plug adapters in all sockets, a big fridge-freezer, all kinds of kitchen appliances, pans and utensils and in the bathrooms, hooks, towel holders and a multi-tier rolling cart to place one's clothes on (a recurrent issue even with high-end hotel rooms, so worth singling out). Very comfy mattresses and big beds for tall people. All the equipment are well-maintained and the wifi signal is excellent everywhere. Heating is easily adjustable via a thermostat and works great when needed. Ample parking space in the EuroSpar parking lot in front of the apartment complex (flat looks to the back, on a green park and to Via Monfalcone) and great green view from the spacious balcony even in winter. Supermarket next door, with long opening hours, open even on some holidays. Extraordinary host who is easy to communicate with and thought of everything (e.g. bus tickets with an honor payment system - leave the money if you use one; a separate toiletries cupboard in case you forgot to bring something; a welcome folder with recommended sights and activities and current multilingual leaflets). Relaxing environment, but if, at the same time, you are into any small town or big city activities, you have Aquileia-Palmanova-Udine, Duino, Cividale del Friuli, Fogliano Redipuglia, Gorizia/Nova Gorica, Miramare, Trieste, Predjama-Postojna, Piran-Portoroz within easy reach (a 60-75 minute drive by car).
Nothing, really; this is just nitpicking.
- Maybe a blackout curtain also in the lower level bedroom (this did not interfere with a relaxing sleep, but the living room was darker in the early mornings).
- Gym equipment could occasionally be heard thumping within the building's gym's limited opening times, but this also speaks to the quietness of the place - and basically this was the only sound near and far besides the birds chirping and cyclists cycling and walkers walking.
- If the four-burner stove happens to malfunction beyond repair one day in the distant future, a two-burner would be sufficient and result in more kitchen counter space for food prep.
