Great location, 3 star accommodation at best.

Great location, not too far to walk into the centre although it’s pitch black near to the property after dark! Lovely historical building from the outside. Nice and quiet.

Very dated, fridge was losing rust on the floor, bedroom small, no comfy seating in our room to relax on an evening, kitchen utensils and necessary items very sparse, not even any washing up liquid! I know it’s self catering but all places we’ve stayed at before provide the basics at least for a 2 night stay!

Lovely , good base to go out from to places and come back to when worn out from the days activities

It was good for us as it was big enough for 3 of us. It was in a lovely location and Rita was lovely.

Not sure really. It was small but good for us. Heated and even the bathroom floor was heated. I dont think I could point out anything really.

Had a lovely stay here, great building and wonderful scenery, we would definitely come back and recommend.

What a wonderful building, loved the old decor in there. Very clean, easy to find and fab location to Masham’s town square and all other amenities in the area.

Only issue we had was the double bed was extremely uncomfortable and turning over in bed or even just sitting on it, it was terribly squeaky, it needs replacing.

Accomodation was appalling and we wouldn't want to stay at your accomodation like that again.

Location was ok, not far to walk into the village We were in a self catering accomodation. Bathroom and all the facilities were down stairs and the bedroom was upstairs and for 2 80 year old people having to get up several times iduting to night was s little disturbing. For the use of the bathroom was ok but now windows that opened and only a hot air fan instead of an extractor fan wasn't very nice especially as the bathroom door opened straight into the kitchen and the shower was not an accessible one as we had to climb into the bath before putting in and no safety mat to put into the bath to stand on. The main room has furniture in it that was worn out and covered up by throws, so we hat else would you like to know? I think a £1000 for 5 nights is a little too much I think. We await to hear your thoughts after maybe a visit. Many thanks Ann Woolsey.

Disappointing inside, lovely outside.

The building looks nice from the outside, there's a lovely shared garden space & it's in a beautiful area.

The window in the single bedroom didn't open so it was very stuffy. The decor in the whole apartment was very dated. There were cobwebs, a smushed spider & decorators tape round the window in the double bedroom. Thr kitchen is small and very basic.

Perfect

We had such an amazing stay at Bellfield Country Suites (Suite 8). From the moment we arrived, it felt so warm, welcoming, and homely — the perfect spot for our family. Everything was clean, comfortable, and so thoughtfully set up, which made a huge difference, especially with a 12-week-old. Our older kids also had a brilliant time, and we felt so relaxed throughout our stay. I noticed some reviews mention it being outdated, but I couldn’t disagree more. It has a lovely traditional, old-style charm which we really loved — it adds character and makes it feel even more special. To us, it was perfect. Rita has clearly put so much care into Bellfield, and it shows. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would love to come back again in the future.

Very relaxing stay in stunning surroundings in a very beautiful property .

The location is excellent. So close to town, yet unbelievably quiet. Beautiful grounds .Bed was so comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed.

There was nothing I didn't like , but if they could do 1 thing a hand rail on the wall to hold as you stepped in / out the bath would be nice .

Gorgeous house if you can get past the dated decor.

The house is amazing, full of character and elegance, and in a great position, with ample parking. It's very quiet, and has fantastic views. It's just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Masham, and a quick 2 minutes cut through the allotments if you're visiting the Black Sheep Brewery. Our suite had all amenities, including fast WiFi, was clean, and warm, with plenty of instant hot water, the bathroom immaculate, and the bed really comfy.

The only thing that lets it down is the very dated decor and furniture in the suite itself. And I mean 80's dated style, not Edwardian or Victorian. 😄 Wood chip, flowery tiles, cheap pine, broken fire surround etc, and nothing tied together. It could look amazing with a bit of money and thought. It didn't particularly bother us, but I'd love to get my hands on it to give it some love.

Great for a short stay to sleep in to make travelling to our places shorter.

Lovely location. Very sweet host who provided detailed information before our arrival. Loads of info within the folder on places to go, services etc. Loved that it encompassed some older day items like the bed warming pan and fireplace. Large courtyard with outdoor seating, and nice grassed area around too. Living room was cosy although the sofa was very small. 2 arm chairs also in the property and a good sized dining table with chairs.

Cleanliness not up to standard. Lots of spider webs. Shower door had soap scum along the bottom, bed had a used tissue under the mattress sheet and so on. Thin walls mean you can hear neighbours upstairs/next door moving around. Pull down beds were squeaky. Nothing that can be done about this but if you're a light sleeper it is likely to disturb you.

Disappointing

Location was great. Apartment very tired, with old furniture and bedding. In desperate need of an upgrade.

There are no beds as such .. the mattresses are on a built up plinth with steps either side. Very difficult to get into. The bedding was clean but very old. The wardrobe was on the stairs and very dangerous as you had to perch on the top step to open the door. Health and safety issue. Toaster did not work properly. The information book in the apartment was very grubby and vastly out of date.

Lovely getaway

The location was perfect as we were visiting the Masham Steam Rally which was a five minute walk away from the Bellfield, our apartment was lovely and in keeping with the beautiful house. Good private parking too

The checkout was a little early 9:30 to 10 where most now are 11am to 12 noon

Lovely room but not suitable for anyone with mobility problems

The room was comfortable and clean. There was everything you could need for a short stay.

My husband had to sleep on a settee as the bed was on a mezzanine level with a low banister round it. As he has Parkinson’s he tends to wander in the night and I was concerned for his safety

Great location close to Masham

Location was fantastic! Nice space to sit out in. Close enough to Masham to walk into town.

Disappointing

Good and peaceful location. Walking distance to town centre.Comfy beds.

We were in Suite 3. Very dark and damp smelling. View of grassy hill and courtyard despite being listed as having a good view. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling, dead spiders everywhere including inside the fridge. Towels smelled like they hadn't been washed properly. Hot water didn't work despite following all the instructions provided. Dishes and cutlery were greasy and dirty. Entrance was difficult to find even with "detailed" instructions in the message due to poor description and signage. We didn't take our dog with us due to "Pets are not allowed" policy, but on arrival we saw guests from other suites with dogs.

Comfortable and central

Host was available for any enquires. Lodgings were full equip with spare bedding, towels, kitchen equipment. Beautiful village, everything we needed on our doorstep step.

Slight maintenance tasks. I had to flush toilet, sink and shower drain to eliminate the stench from bathroom drainage in one lodge we’d booked.

An ok accomodation as a base to explore the surrounding countryside (which is beautiful).

Location was good; the apartment itself was a fever dream for 70ies enthusiasts but the bathroom was nice and rather newly remade with underfloor heating. Some of the kitchen accessories were also new and in good working order. The beds' mattresses were very (!) comfortable. There was a washing machine and a dryer In an outside building.

As our apartment was semi-basement (presumably the former staff quarters) there was a lingering odor of humidity inside and it was generally chilly. The kitchen was old and sparsely equipped. The heating system was old and difficult to use (there were no explanations for the usage) and took a long time to start up eventually.

Idyllic building and location, our suite retained all it's period charm whilst offering full function with it's facilities and was a very comfortable stay for our outdoors mini break. The quiet and private location was still only a short walk to all the local village facilites, inlcuding pubs and shops, making this an ideal rural retreat to explore the area from.
