The house is super comfortable, the view is beyond beautiful and the feeling inside the house is great for quiet leisure time. The green around the area (full of banana trees) gives it an exquisite touch. I fully refreshed my forces during the week I spent here: Madeira does that to you, and the house gives an extra help.

As plenty of previous comments attest, the real downside of the house is: access is really hard. Even more than I expected after reading those previous comments. Be aware: this place is not for you if you have any difficulty to walk steep (really steep!) long distances. Guests with small children, or elderly people, or even overweight people, will have real difficulties, possibly critical ones. People without great confidence to drive within super-steep small roads should also be aware. Even for good drivers: I highly recommend to use this house only if you have got full insurance in your rental car, there are high chances someone will hit you (for example when parked) , if you do not hit someone or something as well.

One word sums it up... WOW, wish we were still there! Amazing views from the hot tub. This is a comfortable, spacious and well-kitted out villa, also great communication with host.

The only slight downside is it's a tad tricky to gain access, with the steps and steep roads. It's well worth it though, as the best places are hard to reach!

The location us very challenging to find. All taxi drivers struggled, including the one that dropped us from the airport. It is up very very steep hills and lots and lots and lots of steps! There is no supermarket or shop close by so a car or taxi (once you learn how to explain where it is!) is essential, but even then you can't drive to the door you still need to negotiate a very steep hill and steps even when you drive there. Also the noise at night in the upstairs bedroom was very loud. There is some stangnant water behind the villa which comes alive at night with very loud creatures. And there are barking dogs all the time day and night in the area.
