It feels more like a retreat than a hotel, much in keeping with the spirit of Vadstenna itself. Pleasant older building that retained its original character.
As we weren’t with a group, we kind of dealt like we were intruding. We had no interactions with the nuns or other guests.

I stayed twice while cycle touring around Lake Vattern. They allowed me to store,y bike in the secured garage, which was very kind.
No elevator.

Lovely peaceful guesthouse in a delightful location, right on the shore of Lake Vattern.
Spacious room and access to the shared bathroom was fine.
The bar and bistro in the hotel nextdoor were lovely - good food and a stunning setting in a 'palace'
Good parking near to the guest house.
Bed linen and towels aren't automatically provided but you can rent them for an extra charge - this wasn't made clear in the booking.

Location on the lake, cleanliness and value. Parking. Safety
Can't think of anything.
