BELVITA Hotel

This hotel has received some really poor reviews which I don’t think it deserves. Was clean, everything worked, the staff were lovely and exceptionally helpful. The foods was nice and fresh, not fancy, but good quality. Yes you can drink all day without getting drunk🤣 but you can buy the stronger stuff for a bit of an extra charge if that’s what you need. Overall i’ve stayed in much more expensive places that weren’t anywhere near as good.

It’s modern Greece… So the buildings feel a little unfinished, the tiling is a bit wonky and you have the usual random pipes sticking out of the ground for no apparent reason. You could almost be in Spain and need to travel a bit to get somewhere more “Greeky”. The local strip is very “sports bar” And there wasn’t much locally if you want a traditional Greek atmosphere.

The property was great. The staff were wonderful. We had a swim up pool. We had room 4001 and the sun doesn’t get on to our room until around 2pm but that was fine for us! The staff were friendly and the food was the same as any other all the other 4/5 Star hotels we’ve ever stayed at. We didn’t try the al a carte restaurant .

Like all Greek hotels (unless it’s a luxury hotel). Many of them show their tiredness but this is no reflection on the hotel. The room we were in was lovely and the bathroom was lovely and clean too! Much nicer than we saw on the photos! We were actually pleasantly surprised.. next time we would prefer a double bed to two singles pushed together but that may have been me on booking. We will absolutely would stay if we returned!

friendly staff, good location, nice and clean hotel

The reception staff were super friendly, helped us with taxis and other information regarding the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Momo from the animation team was super friendly and would always come over to talk to us. He creates a very fun environment, just wish other animation members did the same. The other animators never came over to speak to us about activities as they mostly spoke with French tourists.

This hotel should be 3 stars at the most. Not a lot of options (10-12 options) at the buffet and 4 dishes were the exact same for lunch and dinner (fries, hard chicken nuggets, spaghetti and tomato sauce for the pasta). Breakfast was better however I was given pancakes that were not cooked, I had batter leaking out of the middle. A major thing that ruined the atmosphere for us was the older gentleman that was serving the pizzas. He had a terrible attitude towards a lot of people staying at the hotel. Even poked my partner to get his attention as he didn’t put the tongs back on the plate (he left them on the wrong plate). I no longer went to the snack bar due to feeling uncomfortable. Luckily the last few days of the holiday we had a woman serving the pizzas and she was very friendly.
