Urban Oasis North ATX , 5BR 2BA,Heated Pool

The location was great. Quiet neighborhood. The space inside the home was also great and accommodated all of my guests. The mattresses were comfortable in terms of firmness when sleeping. The kitchen was nice and spacious which worked because I had alot of cooking to do for my family who I knew would arrive late around 2am so I wanted to have food prepared for them. It was also nice having a washer and dryer and games to play. The TV had HDMI connections which was awesome because I made a graduation video for my son to play from my laptop.

The home had the potential to be a 5-star stay but fell short due to cleanliness and maintenance issues. Upon arrival, several beds had dirty sheets with hair on them, requiring me to wash bedding before my family arrived. The pool was dirty and the yards were overgrown, making the outdoor areas unusable. Trash bin overflowing. Initially, I chose not to raise these concerns because we were focused on preparations for my son's graduation and assumed they were isolated issues. However, additional problems arose during our stay, including bathroom fixtures coming apart during normal use and flooring lifting. Once reported, the host addressed some of the maintenance issues and accommodated my request for a late checkout, which I appreciated. Nevertheless, these are problems that should have been identified and corrected before guest arrival. The location, layout, and overall space were excellent, but the property was not adequately prepared for our stay. In my opinion, the property showed signs of neglect, particularly with regard to cleanliness, lawn maintenance, and routine upkeep. Guests should not have to spend the first day of their stay washing bedding, cleaning bathrooms, or reporting multiple maintenance issues that could have easily been discovered during a simple pre-arrival inspection.
