You can sample Cabecou cheese, Quercy melon, Cahors wine, truffles, foie gras, and more, and enjoy summer gourmet evenings in the charming villages of the Lot, not to mention the markets where you can discover all the delicious local products and specialties of the Lot. (Walnuts, saffron, and honey, in addition to those mentioned above)
You can visit Bonaguil Castle, Cahors and its Valentré Bridge, the magnificent village of St. Cirq-Lapopie, and the Célé Valley nestled between cliffs and cave dwellings….
To cool off, the lake at Montaigu-du-Quercy is the perfect spot (20 minutes from the cottage). After exploring the village’s wonderful market, you could go for a picnic by the lake—that’s one idea.
In the summer, you’ll have the sun and the cicadas to keep you company.
