Fragrance Hotel - Balestier

The location is good and not too crowded.

The airconditioning system is already weak.

We used to stay in this property and happy. The location was good because my son can easily come to see us.

The room was very small, the shower was cold, no jag to have a cup of tea.

Even though it's not near to the main tourist sites, I really enjoyed the location. Lots of restaurants nearby and the Whampoa hawker centre is pretty much right across the street. Also convenience stores and whatever else you might need is within walking distance. The room was very small, however, and after 3 nights I was ready to leave just for this reason alone. Everything was decently clean and the staff was friendly. Hot water, air conditioning and WiFi worked well.

Unlucky for us but the were in the middle of three days of maintence during our stay, which generated noise on our floor. They kindly offered to move us to another room, on a different floor, to avoid this inconvenience, however, it would've been a downgrade as far as the room type, so we couldn't accept.

Location was okay

Very small room, much smaller than the pictures suggested. Our first room smelled like cigarettes
