Chapel Cottage

Cottage bellissimo con tutto ciò che è necessario. Zona tranquilla, ma comoda per girare tutto il Kent. Un piccolo gioiello posizionato tra Dover e Canterbury. Le indicazioni e il manuale fornito erano perfetti.

La posizione del letto al piano superiore renderebbe necessario l’acquisto di un ventilatore migliore di quello in dotazione, soprattutto in una estate calda

Beautiful converted chapel, in glorious countryside, with oven, dishwasher, fridge, washing machine etc Smack in the middle of Kent, all seaside 20-30 mins in any direction, plus Canterbury about the same. A fan was provided. Downstairs was cool and there was a sofabed.

Nearest shop is a ten minute drive, we hoped to cycle, but really it's just dangerous, lots of blind corners and tiny roads- but that's the countryside for you, which I'm sure everyone else is familiar with. The fan didn't work, there are no windows upstairs. Couldn't find any dishwasher tablets and forgot to bring any so washed up. No Biggie. Couldn't find any instructions on bins or recycling. Took the recycling home.

Very pretty, cosy cottage. It was very well kept with everything you need to enjoy your stay. It had a parking space for one car at the front of the property. The cottage faces a lovely green area with seating. Fully equipped little kitchen everything was clean. Tea towels, dish cloth and washing up liquid supplied. Hand towel for kitchen not supplied, luckily we took our own. Storage for use in the bedroom, comfortable bed although the mattress may be firm for some and soft pillows. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor ( no doors) with a large tapestry over the bannister for some privacy. Back door leads to a small private courtyard with table and chairs. There is a path along the left hand side of the cottage that leads to the courtyard and back door. Easy instructions to obtain keys. The clean toilet and shower are separate. The Shower room is small but has a large shower cubicle, plenty of hot water and nice towels for personal use. The WC also has a sink (take a had towel), soap dispenser and mirror. Living area has large sofa and cosy chair, large dining table with seating and lots of interesting little features.

Only a couple of things to mention. The bedroom area can get very hot and stifling in hot weather. No opening windows and the noisy fan supplied does not cool the room. (We took our own anyway due to the heatwave). The small courtyard could do with a little bit of TLC as the buddleia is quite overgrown for such a small space and weeds in the gravelled seating area. Just advise (not property fault of course) the pub in the village was closed down during our stay.

-Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Sowas wie Backpapier/Folie etc sind auch vorhanden. -Wird sehr schnell warm. -Uriges Ambiente. -Gute Lage, praktisch zwischen Dover und Canterbury gelegen.

-Wasserkocher muss dringend entkalkt werden! -Aussenlicht Fehlanzeige… -Das Bett ist zu klein für zwei Erwachsene und die Matratze zu kurz für das Gestell,sodass man in die Ritze ein Kissen stopfen muss,um nicht mit dem Kopf in die Ritze zu gelangen. -Keine Ablageflächen in dem Bad/Toilette,ausgenommen ein winziges Regal. Es fehlt auch eine Gardine an der Hintertür,wenn man aus dem Bad/Toilette rauskommt,kann der Nachbar einen dabei beobachten. Da es im Bad auch kaum Platz ist um sich umzuziehen,kommt man im Badetuch raus,was ziemlich schnell unangenehm werden kann wenn sich die Blicke mit dem Nachbarn treffen. -Großer Spiegel fehlt -Die Gardinen im Wohnzimmer haben eine falsche Größe. D.h. die Fenster sind nur teilweise abgedunkelt. -Mein Highlight sind die Platten auf dem Parkplatz. Sind teilweise super wackelig,sodass sich nach dem Regen das Wasser druntersammelt. Beim einsteigen ins Auto in meinen !weißen! Schuhen ist mir die braune Plörre auf die Schuhe gelaufen und nun sind die nicht mehr weiß.
