About this house rental
A warm welcome to the Waibelhof in the Black Forest, hosted by Gudrun and Josef.
We look forward to offering you a relaxing vacation close to nature at 650 meters above sea level, right in the heart of the beautiful Black Forest at the foot of the Schauinsland.
Our vacation apartments cater to a range of preferences, from a cozy, comfortable atmosphere to 3*** to 5**** luxury.
Our relaxation areas in the garden, the large garden shed with a grill, the playground, the lawn for sunbathing, the light-filled apartments, the sunny balconies, and, of course, the stunning views of the Schauinsland or the distant Vosges Mountains ensure a carefree and restful vacation. For those interested, there’s also the chance to interact with our farm animals and donkeys.
For the kids, there’s a Bobby Car, sandbox toys, a toy mountain tractor, and more. Table tennis and a volleyball net are available for sports enthusiasts.
You’re welcome to watch us work in the barn and, of course, lend a hand if you’d like! Or you can simply enjoy your vacation with excursions, hikes, and good food. Freiburg is only 7 km away and is perfect for strolling, visiting museums, or taking guided city tours!

Bed linens and towels are provided, along with a crib and high chair.
Our guests also receive a free Schauinslandbahn ticket (by arrangement).
The modernized vacation apartments provide the perfect setting for relaxation in every season. The playground located on the farm offers your children a place to run around or play in our sandbox—even without their parents, yet still within sight.
The Waibelhof is child- and family-friendly—and if the farmer has time, you’re even welcome to tag along to the barn or out to pasture.
The apartments are non-smoking.
Kitchen amenities: Stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker
- Balcony (south-facing).
- Parking in the courtyard.
- Farm products (apple juice, fresh eggs, etc.) There are three vacation rental units at the Waibelhof. Available seasonally.

We loved this apartment and its surroundings. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. The community was very welcoming and friendly. One of our favorite stays on a recent trip to Germany.

The apartment was lovely with gorgeous views of the valley and a nice balcony. The dimensions of the rooms were perfect and well laid out. Our host Gudrun was very kind and laid back in a positive way. We were late arriving due to train delays and perhaps a bit frazzled and it was so nice to interact with someone cheerful and relaxed. We were originally looking to stay more centrally in Freiburg proper but most places don't have parking included so we opted to be out of town and I'm so glad we did. Our dates were in late November. Often there were blue skies in the village but down in Freiburg and neighbouring Alsace region it was cloud and or fog all day. I don't mind grey days in moderation but it was so nice to have those blue skies. There are well marked hiking trails for all fitness levels in and around the village as well as two great restaurants a short walk from the apartment. We highly recommend this VRBO

Very nice place, location and very friendly hosts. Very nice spot to watch the sunsets over the Vogesen just a walk away. Great play area in the garden.

A great place to spend a few nights, proper escapism with the fantastic city of Freiburg within minutes. The best bed we’ve slept in for a long time. Very good, friendly hosts. Good English spoken. Fantastic view of the hills from the balcony, 2 great restaurants in the village, as well as the cable car up to the top of the mountain. Breathtaking scenery. We recommend without hesitation.
