Warm and cosy room in wonderful Freiburg

This was our second stay and just as good as the first. The room is comfy and cosy. The manager is friendly and responsive. Large trays under the bed store your gear, your own bathroom with ready hot water. Nearby Lidl and Pizza with Rewe down the road a bit. Handy to old town.

Worst bit about this place is leaving. We could have happily stayed longer. Need to get DB to.move train station closer. ;)

Nice budget option with an excellent connection to city center

It's very good value for what it is. Outside the house you have to only walk 20 seconds to reach the tram stop, and 3 stops by tram number 4 to get to city center. You have a pizzeria really close. It is really convenient in these ways. The lady who runs this place is very kind and accommodating.

It's a real cramped place, you'll have to get used to it. Besides that, the rooms and bathrooms are very aged. There isn't really much you have in terms of a common area, just some tea bags, a kettle and some utensils in the corridor.

Get what you pay for

It was cheap and I had a private room and bathroom

The bed was short for me as a big guy, and there was no room at the end for my feet so I had to curl up. There’s a tram line just outside which was quite noisy throughout the night. The facilities seemed very DIY, didn’t look great but did a job. Overall was fine for the price but wouldn’t be happy if I’d paid more.

Disappointing

Very rude staff. Sheets were dirty, there were traces of food in the bed. The room hadn’t been properly cleaned, the bathroom was in very bad conditions, the shower was broken and water would spill everywhere. I don’t recommend this place.

Overall had a good experience (6 nights)

Owner's response time is very fast in case there is a problem, tea kettle and some dishes were also provided which was nice. Beds are comfortable and an extra blanket is provided. The room was small, but had very cozy decorations, a large window and high ceilings. Lidl very close by which was very handy. Very good price for what was provided.

To preface the negatives, I will say that they didn't really bother me horribly. They're small things. Towels smelled a little stale, cleanliness could be taken further in some nooks- both inside the room and bathroom. No warm water in the sink (that I could figure out at least) and the shower curtains are way too long and a little clumsy to deal with. No window in the bathroom.

Excellent accommodation at a good price!

Excellent location, 10 minutes walk to the city center. The room is small and functional, above expectations, clean, few things but has everything necessary, excellent heating which meant in cold December days. Thank you host, I would stay with you again!

Very old and derelict, not clean. Noisy. No parking available close by. In an "Umweltzone" as well (most of Freiburg is), so not accessible for many cars.

This is not a proper hotel; it's more like staying at a bohemian friend's house.

This is the most affordable accommodation we could find in Freiburg. It is a fairly good value for the money, in view of the cost of hotels in the area. The bed was comfortable enough and towels were provided. I quite liked the paintings, books, and colorful linens.

The second day of our stay we had no hot water. There is no wifi. The bathroom needs to be deep-cleaned and much better lit. The towels didn't smell like they had recently been washed. I couldn't get the window to close completely (though I was not worried about safety). The walls were very thin. All in all it was kind of like staying with a bohemian friend who occasionally forgets to pay the bills or clean the place.

Das viertel hostelde bir gece konakladım çok daha iyiydi , Booking com bu kadar kötü bir yeri sayfasında neden tanıtıyor,bir daha iki kere düşüneceğim, Booking com’ un kalmadığım 4 günün para iadesini yapmasını istiyorum.

Leider nicht die Erwartungen erfüllt

Sehr gute Lage und freundschaftliches Personal

Die Sauberkeit, es hingen überall staubfäden, es roch nach uralter Wäsche und das Bad war ungeputzt. Alles ist unglaublich eng und die Eingangstür ging nicht ordentlich zu. Man hat das Gefühl man wird in einer alten Rumpelkammer geparkt, der Vorhof ist leider auch zugemüllt. Hatte zwei Abende gebucht und bin nach einer Nacht woanders untergekommen.

Die Schande von Freiburg!

Der Preis war günstig... Beim nächsten Mal geben wir lieben ein paar € mehr aus und gehen in eine ordentliche Unterkunft!

Das Badezimmer hat nach gefühlt 6 Monate altem Urin gestunken und unzählbare Haare waren ebenso vorhanden. Die Ausstattung ist der letzte Schrott. Das Zimmer (wir hatten das mit dem Hochbett) ist so klein, dass man sich zu zweit nicht wirklich darin bewegen kann... Spinnen, Spinnenweben und weiterer Schmutz auf dem Zimmer runden eine grauenhafte Nacht ab. Da wir erst sehr spät abends angereist waren, sind wir auf diese Unterkunft angewiesen gewesen. Ansonsten wollten wir eigentlich schreiend wieder herauslaufen. Alles in allem bekommt man für sein Geld hier eine ganze Menge Ekel und Schmutz.

Absolut nichts.

. Hier die Duschkabine 60 x 90 cm, 7 die habe ich nur mit Badelatschen wegen eventueller Bakterien (schön anzusehen) nicht 1-mal ausgezogen. Das galt für die gesamte Einrichtung. Hier sieht man das WC 9 in der kleinsten Ecke. Bilder 10 – 14 sind absolut der Hammer !!! Auch hier wegen eventueller Bakterien, (schön anzusehen) habe ich meine körperlichen Entleerungen nur im Stehen erledigt. Es gibt noch mehr mit Fotos und Video zu bemängeln. doch dazu reicht der Platz nicht. Versuche gerade vergeblich bei Booking eine Entschädigung für das Drecksloch zu bekommen, doch vergebens. La ubicacion era buena.

No ves a nadie wn ningun momento para preguntar cosas(donde aparcar, dlnde ir, recomendaciones..) . Instalaciones viejas y con mjcha sensacion de sucio . Hay otra habitacion y baño en un espacio reducido.

Für mich, eher der Standard einer Notunterkunft, als eines Hotel- oder Gästezimmers.

Die Lage war für meinen Aufenthalt sehr gut, ich konnte, nach dem ich einen geeigneten Parkplatz gefunden hatte (nur kostenpflichtige Parkplätze Euro 3,20 1/Std. im Umfeld), mein Fahrzeug für die Aufenthaltsdauer stehen lassen und die Straßenbahn benutzen. Ebenso gab es in direkter Nähe, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowie kleine Restaurants, Essen im Zimmer ist nur bedingt möglich. Es gibt frische Handtücher. Der Preis war wirklich niedrig, aber das Zimmer ist für 2 Personen gedacht (Etagenbett), ich war froh alleine zu reisen. Mein Foto zeigt die Gesamtbreite des Zimmers, ich stehe in der Tür, der Abstand von der Wand zur Tür entspricht in etwa der Breite.

Auf dem Bild der Anzeige, erkennt man leider nicht, dass das Zimmer nur etwa 4-5 qm Fläche hat. das angesprochene Bad ist auf dem Flur. In dem Zimmer wird es unerträglich heiß, wenn die Sonne scheint. Die einzige Abdunklung/Sonnenschutz ist ein leichter roter Vorhang. Es ist sehr laut, da das Zimmer direkt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße liegt und die Straßenbahn vorbei rumpelt. Ich dachte, in dem Zimmer auch arbeiten zu können, dies ist auf Grund der Größe und der somit mangelnden Sitzmöglichkeit nicht gegeben. Die Zimmerausstattung ist sehr einfach, ein Etagenbett ohne Lattenrost, nur Bretter und man sollte nicht größer als 1,85m sein, sonst klappt das schlafen nur bedingt. Im Flur gibt es eine Art "Kochregal". Bestenfalls als Suppenküche/Teeküche geeignet. Als Kühlmöglichkeit gibt es eine elektrische Campingbox. Für die zwei Zimmer (Zugang über Hinterhof/Seiteneingang) sind im Flur zwei Bäder vorhanden. Die Duschmöglichkeit würde ich, mit einfachem Campingplatzniveau bezeichnen (vermutlich sind Campingplätze besser ausgestattet). Die Bettwäsche roch gebraucht, obwohl diese frisch aufgezogen zu sein schien, hier war ich froh, einen dünnen Jugendherbergsschlafsack dabei gehabt zu haben. Dieser ist mein ständiger Begleiter, wenn ich mir über die Sauberkeit nicht sicher sein kann. Generell war es schmuddelig bzw. abgewohnt. Das Preisniveau ist niedrig, also sollte man von geringen Erwartungen nochmals 50% abziehen, damit die Enttäuschung erträglich bleibt. Ich reise oft und nutze auch oft gute Angebote, hier habe ich mich vom Preis und dem interessanten Unterkunftsnamen blenden lassen, im Nachhinein ein Fehler.

Estrecho pero suficiente

Mi segunda estancia aquí, la verdad es que por el precio y la ubicación no se le compara ningún otro, excepto tal vez Black Forest Hostel el cual es más limpio y más amplio y queda ubicado en un barrio hermoso, pero para una habitación individual cuesta bastante más. Theater am Eck proporciona la habitación totalmente independiente, nadie nunca viene a molestar, puedes llegar a la hora que desees porque tienes tu propia entrada, y queda a 15 minutos a pie del pleno centro. Por el precio, es lo mejor que un viajero solo o en pareja (hay que ser aventurero y con poco presupuesto) podría desear!

La limpieza y el tamaño de la habitación, pero por el precio me seguiría quedando aquí.

I'd come back for the price and location!

Excelente ubicación y por el precio, lo hace insuperable. Claro que es muy chico y no muy limpio, pero recibes lo que pagas y nadie te molesta durante tu estancia. Volvería a quedarme aquí siempre y cuando esté viajando solo y sin muchas expectativas.

La cama no olía muy bien y habían muchas arañas en la habitación. Tampoco se hizo limpieza durante la semana que estuve alojado. Pero no podía pedir más y me dejaron tranquilo la semana entera, lo cual era mucho más importante para mí.

Ich komme gerne wieder.

Hübsches Zimmer, alles Nötige ist vorhanden (zusätzlich zur Zimmerbeschreibung gab es gutes WLAN, Wasserkocher, Essgeschirr, Fön). Erinnerung an alte WG-Zeiten. Zentrale Lage. Die Straßengeräusche waren zu hören, haben aber nicht weiter gestört. In der Wohnung baulich bedingt sicherlich etwas hellhörig, durch respektvollen Umgang aber kein Problem. Wer es sauberer braucht hat alle Putzutensilien zur Verfügung. Super Preis für diese Ausstattung und Lage. Schön, dass es solche Unterkünfte noch gibt. Vielen Dank.
