About this chalet rental

Wonderful wooden lodge with stunning views over the Scottish countryside. Privately located on an organic working farm. It has two bedrooms with superking sized beds, one can be made into a two. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. One has a raindance shower and a deep soak bath. The second a raindance shower.
The living area connected to the wonderfully equipped kitchen. There is an oak table for dining at and patio doors that lead onto the front decking. This raised decking is a wonderful spot for some outdoor dining. The spacious hot tub is located on the back decking in a private location with wonderful views.

Dog friendly! We love dogs at airhouses and you are welcome to bring 2 well behaved dogs to The Ramsay, please add them after booking in Manage my Booking or contact us to do it for you. They are an extra £45 per dog for the duration of your stay.

This is a ideal place to stay if you want peace and quiet, comfort and lovely views. Very interesting to look around the animals on the farm and lovely walks around the farm. The hot tub was good too and great night skies for star watching.

Lodge was excellent, clean comfortable with great views across the countryside. This was the third visit and not disappointed. Hot tub was marvellous, and there was plenty of wildlife and animals to view. Close to melrose, Kelso, Edinburgh for days out. A little piece of heaven. This was our 5th stay at AIRHOUSES having stayed at the pod and Buchanan lodge previously. All stays have been idyllic and we can’t wait to return. again. Beautiful countryside and beautiful lodges with incredible owners who make you feel so welcome. The farm animals are adorable and all of the facilities ( bbq/ hot tubs etc) are excellent . Highly recommended to families and couples. You won’t be disappointed

We had a fantastic week at the Ramsay. The setting on the farm is wonderful and the kids loved feeding the pigs and the donkeys. The accommodation is clean, spacious and to a very high standard. The added bonus of the hot tub is a real treat to relax in at the end of the day. A really lovely location and excellent lodge facilities. Our family had a great holiday here.

We had the most amazing stay at The Ramsay at Airhouses! The lodge was beautifully presented, spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It was peaceful, private, and surrounded by stunning scenery — the perfect place to unwind. A big highlight for us was the hot tub — it was such a treat to relax in it at the end of the day, especially with those gorgeous views! Another standout was the animals — my daughter Abie absolutely loved visiting them, and Damian was so kind, even letting her help with feeding them. It completely made her holiday and created some really special memories. The whole team were warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. You can tell they genuinely care about making your stay special. Thank you again for such a memorable experience — we’ll definitely be back!

We have had two stays at the Ramsay. The location is stunning. Very open and so tranquil and relaxing. The house must be one of the most spotless we have stayed in. Everything is well looked after. Damian is always about to help or answer any questions. Our dog comes too and there are walks around Airhouses from the lodge. We find lots to do in the area, lots of gardens and historic properties to visit. Definitely recommend a stay at the Ramsay and Airhouses. Forgot to mention the very handy wee shop with frozen meals and the pop up cafe on a Saturday morning.

Airhouses is a fantastic escape from the real world to a special little paradise where you can relax and unwind. The lodges are luxurious and immaculately kept with great features. It has everything you can need for a weeks stay to be very comfortable.

After visited Airhouses many times, it was the perfect choice to spend the weekend at The Ramsay celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and my 60th birthday. The Ramsay is perfect for our small family and the dogs. The views are stunning, the accommodation is spotless and a massage from Tracy of Iomlan Suund Therapies in our lodge,added to my relaxing weekend. A big Thank you to the team for helping with all my surprises, some more happy memories made at Airhouses

We loved our stay over Christmas, lovely welcome and the surprise gifts were so nice, we loved feeding the animals as well. We also liked the little cafe on site. The lodge and hot tub were perfect and the views were amazing. We ordered quite abit of the local produced to be there when we arrived (support the local economy) which was really convenient however we were a little disappointed with a couple of the items, but this did not ruin any of our stay at the lodge. I would say it is a little on the expensive side but we were lucky as we got a discount for our stay, however we throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Lost count of the number of times we’ve visited Airhouses. Every time it’s been excellent, peace and quiet, superb views, truly luxury lodges. The Ramsay being particularly suitable for those with limited mobility, level throughout and with that all important wet room. This time we were treated to glorious winter sunshine with one day set aside for a howling blizzard and 6 inches of snow, made the hot tub exciting, Can’t wait to return .

As a family we all had an excellent stay. The location was beautiful, walks around the farm were very good. Our daughter really enjoyed seeing and feeding the animals every day. You could do as much or as little as you wanted, and then soak in the hot tub looking out over the fields.

My wife and I stayed at the Ramsay Ayr house for one week and had a fantastic time The accommodation was spotlessly clean and all items inside the lodge worked and were of a high standard. Owners are lovely people and very helpful The surrounding scenery to the lodges is glorious with very little light pollution at night if stargazing is your thing Well worth the money it’s our second visit and would recommend to others

We had the perfect week at Airhouses. Our lodge, The Ramsay, met all our expectations. It was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. Everything we needed was provided. The lodges sit on the hillside overlooking the area around. It is peaceful and we slept well. It is ideal for exploring the Borders area with lots of places within reach and there is a hot tub to relax in. There is also a very handy little shop on site which stocks high quality frozen meals and ice cream as well as fresh eggs etc. Damien, the manager is often around to answer questions and check everything is alright. Highly recommend this property. We hope to return.

We had a great experience staying at Airhouses. The pre holiday information and enhance your stay was excellent and have you choices to purchase food prior to arrival to be in your lodge when you arrived. The restaurant recommendations that we booked were excellent. Thanks for being on site and providing information as needed and for accommodating our.4 dogs which we find difficulty to find commodity on that will accept them. All in all a great experience and we will and have recommended to others.

We love going to Airhouses and have done so for 8 years. As dog lovers there is a dedicated secure meadow for our dogs to run free in. The views are stunning and visible from every window. The level of cleanliness is excellent. The hot tub is checked daily and empted when you leave and re-filled with fresh water for the next guests.

This is a wonderful way to relax after the hustle and bustle of Christmas and new year . Damien and his family always makes our stay brilliant, we enjoy feeding apples and carrots to all the animals on the farm and the lodge is a wonderful home away from home, there is always lots of bird activity around the cabin, and lots of natural wildlife to spot , fantastic place to stay

The weather outside was frightful but inside The Ramsay was delightful! Since we had no place to go, we watched it snow, watched it snow, watched it snow! Staring out of the huge windows with a hot cup of tea in hand as the whole landscape turned a fluffy white, not once did we feel cold.Whilst many people might travel around the Borders during thier stay, we delight in doing nothing at all. One week a year we drive up to Scotland and are given a warm welcome, the shops in Lauder serve our needs and a trip to the Market in Kelso saw us through the week. The kitchen is great in The Ramsay, I managed a lamb roast with all the trimmings and it was easier than cooking at home! The wi-fi is much improved, not that we did much on it. We spent most of the time watching or photographing the wildlife, or chilling in the sizeable hot tub. The sky at night was some of the most spectacular I've seen, little to no light pollution meant we saw so many stars! We even indulged in the Night Sky package, a bottle of sparkling fizz, blankets, and decent binoculars (Great in the day time for spotting the deer too!) Each year there is always something new to look at on the farm. We enjoy feeing and petting the animals, scouring the hills for the wild deer. I highly recommend a stay here, I can honestly say, you won't regret it. The airhouse hosts are so friendly, communicative, and helpful. They make your holiday an experience you'll be telling people about for years. P.S. We did get our car stuck in the snow but Damian came to our aid, with a smile on his face even in the bitter cold he made sure we got back safe.

We have been regularly visiting Airhouses since 2010, and so Xmas in 2023 was just like coming "home". The welcome was warm and so was the Ramsay Lodge. The customer service and the unique place is what keeps us coming back, and the sustained quality of that has not dropped once. A remarkable place run by remarkable people.

Another fantastic stay @ Airhouses but in smaller accommodation. It didn’t disappoint our expectations. Warm cosy lodge, fully equipped with everything you need. Quality bedding & towels with fabulous underfloor heating in the bathrooms ❤️. Large hot tub to the side & beautiful views. Good walks to explore but might want to take the wellies for more adventurous trails. Will be back again x

This was our 6th visit to Airhouses but our 1st in The Ramsay , it will certainly not be our last . The Ramsey is a perfect base with incredible views. There is always a friendly welcome. There are plenty of interesting places to visit and the walks around the farm are well laid out and provide excellent vantage points. The ideal get away location !!

From start to finish we were made to feel at home in what is a well appointed property and excellent for individuals with limited mobility. The Ramsay has all the equipment needed to make your stay easy and enjoyable. This visit was enhanced by the good weather and spectacular views round the area. What a fabulous week. Well equipped property with comfortable beds and bathrooms. Everything required in a kitchen and more to make your stay comfortable. Fantastic warm welcome by Damian who took us on a tour of the farm. My daughter fed the animals and she was calling them by their names all week. What a fabulous idea. The pop up coffee shop on a Wednesday and Sunday is well worth a visit as is the shop for ice cream. The views from the hot tub are fabulous and what a wonderful way to forget all the trials and tribulations of day to day life. We will be returning and can’t wait. Phil.

We found The Ramsay to be beautifully clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We only stayed a couple of nights but wished we could've stayed much longer to make the most of the lodge, the farm, and the surrounding area. The decking area is absolutely lovely with stunning views for miles and miles! And indoors, the huge windows let in so much light. The kitchen is very well equipped with various gadgets and utensils, including a coffee machine, always a big plus! The beds are so comfortable, and the en suite bathrooms are fantastic. We met the goats, donkeys and alpacas who were very friendly. You can pick up animal feed from the little honesty shop on-site. The honesty shop is brilliant, stocking essentials as well as luxury items to make your stay even more special. It's very reasonably priced too!

Our fourth time at Airhouses and as wonderful as usual, nice to see money being spent to keep the lodges at their very high standard. Everyone was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the pop up cafe and the animals. Excellent location to get away from it all, fantastic views over Lauderdale from the hot tub.
