Cosy holiday home at Romney Sands

Very clean, double bed is very comfortable. Loved the fact of 2 toilets, The owners were very accommodating to our stay.

The ant powder everywhere, not that I took any children or pets with me, It wasn’t placed very discreetly or hidden from view.

You can tell the owners care about their property and the people who stay there. Lovely touches like a dvd player and kids dvds in the cupboard which my son absolutely loved. Also makes a big difference to have the basics like tea and coffee, sponge, washing up liquid and a tea towel which you don’t typically get if you book through parks. It’s comfortable, cosy, has everything you need for a short term stay. Loads to do for young children. Parking is perfect. Beach opposite is lovely for the evenings. And sandy beaches via stream train or 5-10min drive. We hope the owners will accept a future booking from us :)

It’s a little shame the bins are opposite side of pathway, as that’s the view from the decking. Not the owners fault, but if you’re looking to sit outside on decking for hours - it’s not the idyllic view. But location in general is peaceful and quiet!

It was 5 minutes away from my mums, {purpose of our visit} so good location, right on the beach front aswell. There was an on site bar/restaurant, which was OK, but very loud at breakfast. It seems they didnt turn down the previous nights "disco" volume down, which was a bit crazy at breakfast time.

The caravan appeared ok, but once you started to touch things, everything was grimy. It could do with a really good deep clean. {Believe me, I usually like to keep my "eyes closed" in theses places, I do not look for dirt} They did not make up all beds, { sleeping in a room with an unmade bed 2 feet away from your face is not nice, no mattress protectors bare duvet and pillow, did not sit well with my guests, } twin room beds were too small for adults really and 1 slept on the sofa as it was more comfortable, but inconvenient, as i could of just booked a cheaper 2 bedroom unit. and the linen was not professionally laundered, nor ironed. Cobwebs in several places, cup marks on side tables. Dvd player did not work properly, no bedside lights in bedrooms. Cooking utensils dirty, pans ect dirty, oven racks and grill pan dirty. It wasnt cheap either. No towels provided, just what appeared to be someone's left behind bath towel in the shower room. I would not book this accommodation again. The shower and bathroom were not cleaned properly. Full "ashtray" bin outside on patio {Im a smoker}
