La Maison de Famille

The property is very centrally located, super close to the main square of Jumilhac and the castle - c. 2 min walk! It has all the resources we needed - bedding, towels, iron, cutlery and crockery all easily locatable. The house sleeps 8 easily - 2 double bedrooms and one bedroom with 4 single beds, two bathrooms with showers and a separate loo downstairs. Anne-Marie was a very attentive and kind host - she allowed us to check out late and came over as soon as we identified an issue to her that we needed her to resolve.

It came across as if the house had not been used for some time. It wasn't unclean per se, but there were noticeable cobwebs over things like the breadboard. We also couldn't find a chopping board anywhere (so had to make do making a salad for dinner on large plates!). All in all the house is a little bit tired and could do with a little bit of modernising, but the general decor was charming and it was a really sweet house.
