IRIDA VILLA

An amazing little villa, perfect for two. It has 2 bathrooms so I assume 4 guests would also feel comfortable. Two large terraces, washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen. Very spacious bedroom with lots of storage space for clothes. Two strong AC units (upstairs and downstairs). The pictures don't show (I think) but there is a flat screen TV mounted directly above the dining table. The living room is more spacious than it looks on the pictures (two very comfortable couches that transform into beds). A full-sized drying rack with plenty of clothes pins (a rarity!) We also liked that the villa is very close to the village but also private (there are no houses next to it).

Like others said, it is directly facing the main road so there is traffic. However, when you close the balcony doors and turn on the AC, it's fine. Might be an issue if you for some reason can't with the AC - it gets hot upstairs, even without the traffic noise.

We liked: very friendly and helpful hosts; beautiful villa outside and inside; all the amenities and attention to detail; availability of washing machine in the apartment; space for parking the car; short walk to town centre.

There was a bit of traffic noise from the road alongside the villa but it was not a problem.

The accommodation was what we needed for our family, close to the area of interest in Agia Effimia but still not very close to restaurants and bars. Private parking just near the villa. The village is very beautiful and quiet. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, water and something for breakfast. We were allowed to occupy the villa earlier than the check-in time. We loved to eat at Sea Rock WS and Amalia restaurants and drink the morning Greek Coffee and afternoon cocktails at Cactus Bar.

The traffic in front of the villa can be disturbing at night, but we solved it with closed windows and air conditioning.

The villa was very luxurious for the two of us. Two roomy floors - two bathrooms ! The private parking outside the door was a bonus. Stavros could not have been more supportive. The villa has good views to the distant hills, and a side view of the sea. The harbour is 5 minutes away, and the Pergola restaurant you pass is highly recommended.

There is a bit of traffic passing up the road, but it did not bother us.
