C'era Una Volta

Some places are nice, some places are comfortable, and then there are places that make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Giordano’s apartment was exactly that for us. The location is fantastic. Within about 10 minutes you can reach the old town, beautiful beaches, and some of the best restaurants in Monopoli. At the same time, the area is surprisingly quiet at night, so we always slept peacefully after long days exploring Puglia. The apartment itself was spotless, cozy, and full of thoughtful details. Giordano welcomed us with local pastries, fresh fruit, drinks, and even a bottle of wine. The kitchen had everything we needed, there were beach supplies ready to use, and we especially loved the little balcony where we spent several evenings enjoying a glass of wine and simply soaking in the atmosphere. What we loved most was how authentic everything felt. This is not one of those anonymous vacation rentals. Staying here feels like being welcomed into a real Italian home. There is warmth and personality everywhere, and it gave us the feeling that we were experiencing Monopoli as guests rather than tourists. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was Giordano himself. From the first moment, he treated us as guests, not customers. He took the time to talk with us, share recommendations, answer every question, and genuinely make sure we were having the best possible experience. His restaurant recommendations were incredible, and he even personally helped us with reservations throughout the week. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy some of the most sought-after places in the area, including restaurants where getting a table is usually almost impossible. The kindness and care he showed throughout our stay made a huge difference. And just when we thought he couldn’t be more generous, he invited us for breakfast on our last morning. It’s rare to find a place that you know you will return to before you’ve even left. This was one of those places.

It is difficult to express in just a few words how wonderful this experience was. This apartment is a slice of heaven; authentic and welcoming. With the doors to the balcony open, you can sit back in the spacious living room, marvel at its vaulted ceiling, and drink in the unmistakable sound; the bustle of a small Italian city. The air-conditioned bedroom, however, is as quiet and comfortable as can be. The kitchen is well equipped if you feel the need to cook, but why would you when your host, Giordano, makes the most wonderful recommendations (and reservations, if you’d like). Which brings us to our host. Giordano elevates this apartment, this city, this vacation, to a whole new level. His welcome is warm and his infectious love for the area is surpassed only by his knowledge, which he is only too delighted to share. His recommendations are amazing and he will stop at nothing to make sure that your stay is everything that it can be. We met a host and left behind a friend. Thank you Giordano. We cannot wait to return to this property.

Am petrecut 2 nopți minunate la C’era Una Volta și nu am fi putut alege o cazare mai bună. Giordano a fost o gazdă extraordinară, foarte atentă și primitoare. Ne-a oferit recomandări excelente pentru locurile de vizitat din Monopoli și chiar ne-a ajutat cu o rezervare la cină, ceea ce a făcut șederea noastră și mai plăcută. Apartamentul a fost impecabil de curat, iar atenția la detalii ne-a impresionat. La sosire am găsit frigiderul aprovizionat cu apă, sucuri și fructe proaspete, iar gazda ne-a pregătit și câteva gustări dulci și sărate. Toate acestea au fost extrem de binevenite după un drum lung și ne-au făcut să ne simțim imediat ca acasă. La plecare, Giordano ne-a oferit un mic dejun delicios și, peste așteptări, ne-a dus chiar și până la gară. Astfel de gesturi arată cât de mult îi pasă de oaspeții săi. Recomandăm din toată inima C’era Una Volta tuturor celor care vizitează Monopoli. O experiență de nota 10, pe care cu siguranță ne-ar plăcea să o repetăm! ❤️🇮🇹✨
