Woodside Ash hot tub & pool (sleeps 4-6)

Location was a hidden Gem. Seeing the sun peep through the trees in the morning warms the heart and set us up for the day. The kitchen was great for self-catering.

The steps everywhere where tough on our knees and ankles. Old war wounds. :)

The apartment is tucked away in peaceful woodland, which made the whole stay feel calm and private. It was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed as a family of four plus our black Lab. The pool was the highlight of the whole trip, we used it every single day. The kids were in their element, and a great way to unwind after exploring the beaches nearby. What really made the stay exceptional, though, were the owners. They were so friendly and genuinely helpful. I needed a pasta‑bake dish and a lighter for candles, and they brought both over straight away without any fuss. They even took in my Sainsbury’s food delivery when I didn’t arrive in time and put everything away for me, such a thoughtful touch and massively appreciated after a long drive. The location is brilliant too: close to Westward Ho!, and Appledore, all perfect for dog‑friendly days out. The hosts have clearly put a lot of care into making the space welcoming and comfortable, and we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived.

There was nothing to dislike.

We had such a fantastic stay at Woodside Apartments Oak. Everything was just… easy. The apartment had everything we needed (and more), the views were beautiful, and the hot tub was a definite highlight. We stayed as two adults with two almost-grown kids and it worked perfectly, plenty of space, super comfortable, and really well set up. Jen was an exceptional host, so warm, helpful, and genuinely cared that we had a great time. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making this place special. One of those rare stays where everything just works. Would 100% come back.

Nothing to complain about honestly.

A perfect, quiet location surrounded by wooden and a lovely view across the valley. The apartment was very clean, tidy and all equipment. The hot tub was great, the host was very helpful. Great for a chilled girly weekend.

Not really a dislike, but guests need to be aware that there are a number of steep steps leading down to the property and more steps to the hot tub. Also, parking was road side, but it’s not a through road luckily.
