This rural retreat is set on the outskirts of Bideford, surrounded by the stunning North Devon countryside. The property enjoys an idyllic setting, and you’ll find many pretty walks along quiet country lanes and across open fields directly from your front door. The sandy shores of Westward Ho! are within 6 miles, and nearby family attractions include The Big Sheep (6 miles) and The Milky Way Adventure Park (13 miles).
A private driveway leads to the holiday home, which is nestled within the grounds of the owner’s home. The property is bursting with character, with gorgeous exposed stonework and period features throughout. The elegant lounge is a delightful place to unwind, with an array of comfortable seating set around a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV. A stylish kitchen provides everything needed for a self-catering break, and the separate dining area has a table to seat everyone. Also on the ground floor is a games room with a pool table, as well as a handy downstairs shower room. The three tastefully decorated bedrooms and the family bathroom are upstairs. Outside, a large, enclosed garden awaits with spectacular views across the North Devon countryside. On a summer’s evening, sink into the bubbling hot tub whilst the children play on the swings and slide.
The market town of Bideford (3 miles) has a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as a pretty quayside and a beautiful public park with a seasonal, open-air swimming pool. The traffic-free Tarka Trail passes close to the town, offering fabulous walking and cycling routes alongside the river. For a day at the seaside, head to the vibrant coastal resort of Westward Ho!, where you’ll find a long, sandy beach, amusements and arcades, and traditional seaside shops and eateries.
